alright, im pretty possitive im goin to Empire freeride for the 5 day session, 3 days skiing. I know what you guys are going to say, do the 8 day session with 6 days on the hill and spend the extra loot, it will be worth it. But I dont have that kind of money, and I cant take that many days off from work. Now, do u guys think that 3 days on the hill will make me progress alot more, considering i can only do basic 180s, and sketchy 3's, with basic rail slides down? and do you think 500 bucks for the camp will be worth it for this 5 day session? I just don't wanna spend the loot and be disapointed I guess... let me know guys, im one confused kid

why don't you ask this same question in the thread about camp? you don't have to start a new thread for every question you ask.

Last year at windells i went for and 8 day session late in the season. The first day I did about as much as I did the whole time. I had never dont anything before so this was my firsty freeriding experience. The first day I was doing the gap to the box and geting 3s down clean on small jumps and nailing this long double barrel flat rail to switch off, then from there I just progressed and didnt ski the last 2 days from being to sore from the previous days...I say go ski your heart out and have the best time possible when I went to camp it was the best 1000 dollars my parents and I had ever spent. Just ski hard and dont let anything stop u. U will ski with people better than u and that makes it alot easier to step up to the plate and do well.
have a good time

You could progress if you work hard, but I think its more fun if you dont rush it. I dont know how sketch the weather is in MT, but in Whis you could have days where hitting rails isnt easy.

perhaps the sun comes out and is really really hot and heat causes expansion and then the rail will become sticky, its happened here when it was -20 but the winter sun was still hot enough

Have you ever heard the saying 'Quality, not quantity'?
Well, this is true with skiing. Having extra days is great, but if you apply yourself and pay attention to every pointer you hear then you can make great improvement.
I tore all my ligaments in my ankle the first day I got to camp last year, and I wasn't able to ski for two weeks. I only had about 3 days of skiing in, but I progressed leaps and bounds.
I didn't immediately see the progression, instead I absorbed everything I heard and worked on it at the beginning of this season.
I went from sketchy 180's to crash off little jumps last year to stylish crossed/grabbed 7's and 9s.
It's the quality of what you do with the time you have - that is important; not how much time you have.
Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

Yeah I feel ya man, thanks for that... haha u always give mad good interpretations.... anyways, i really wanna go to high north, but i can't afford the 1,500.. anyways, I just wanna start next year with a bang, so i figure a small 5 day session at empire will get me off to the right track, so I can really start progressing
