Days that suck

Have you guys had those days skiing where it just sucks? Where nothing seems to be going right?

I've had a few.

Two years ago I was watching a jump competition. Earlier that season I had tried a rail and hit my head; breaking my goggles in the process. So my goggles were ductaped. I looked pretty funny with ductape goggles, anyhow, some fat chick saw me and started throwing snowballs at me. I'm like what the fuck. (I guess she didn't like my goggles)

I started throwing snow back at her, but she had about 4 big guys 'backing her up'. Then the fat chick comes after me, I thought she was playing but she was serious. She starts trying to hit me. I just knocked her off, I would've slapped her back but the 4 guys would've all probably jumped me. Then all the guys started throwing snowballs at me and the fat chick kept on starting shit.

So a fat chick attacked me and to top it off, later that day I crashed and got all cut up, I hit my head pretty hard, broke some of my equipment, food poisoned, and at the end of the day I fell off the chairlift.

everyday sucked for me,my best day was the 2nd day of the season,i was landing corked 5s all day and then after that never landed one at all

GhostDragon nice story. Did this fat chick have some sort of mental problem or was she just probably some fat hick on skis for the first time? Thats a pretty messed story.

Aw, she prolly liked you. Naw...

I've had bad days. First of all, I got ditched because the girl I was skiing with wanted to follow this really hot guy down some really easy trails and I wanted to actually ski. So then I fell down a really icy, steep hill and hit my head about 5 million times while falling and had to hike back up to grab my skis that got caught somewhere near the top of the run. Then I met up with a couple of guys I knew from school and got ass grabbed, causing me to fall off the chairlift. So then I just about had it and decided to go to the terrain park and hit a few jumps. On the first jump I hit, I ended up landing on my back. Then I got laughed at by some idiot snowboarders who said 'That's why skiers shouldn't jump' Aughh.. I wanted to hit them so bad. But instead I went inside to get a hot chocolate and lay down on the couch. That is possibly my worst day skiing. Except for the time I face planted onto some ice and split my chin open.

A week after opening day at Killington this year, (I had been there for opening day) I broke a rib on the stickiest rail ever, and I couldn't breathe. It kind of blew all the rest of the day. And I burnt my tongue on my hot dog with chile, causing me to suck in my breath, which brought me immense pain, since I couldn't breathe. And it sucked, and that day was fun, but it sucked. I had fun.

i havent had manny bad days but one time the whole mountian was all slushy and the park was probly the best cuz there were the least amount of people in it

so i am just hitting the big 20-30 foot tabel stop in there and clearing them for the first tim (the landing were soft and i wanted to do somthing new so i went big) but just doing straigt airs.

i hit one of the 20-30 foot tabels and case the landing i bouce up in the air almost fall completly foward then in the landing the are all of theis mounds i think from people stoping right after they land and since my legs just hurt from casing it so i turn out of control and pick up tons of speed and head curving across the trail picking up speed the whole time and i have to jump up and purpously land on my stomach to stop me from hitting the woods so now my legs hurt and my stomach hurts


so a few runs later i try a 360 off a small 10 foot tabel i thought i would get more air then i did and i landed 300 degres and then i fell back seat and 1 ski came offand i skid to the side so i yell to stop going cuz my ski is on the landing so know one lands on it some stupid people og any way and they all yell OH SHIT in the air when they see my ski laying there and miss it by an inch then finaly some older guy sees what happend (this is after like 15 people jump and come close to hiting my ski and waits for me to get it then other dumbasses start going so i cant get back to the other side where my other ski and poles are


i got to put my ski on and it wont clip in so i try agian it wont go ing then i ski down to the botom of the mountian with one ski on witch was prety fun excpt that i had to hold my other ski in my hand


when i get back to my condo i see what happened i have the old atomic 310 binding that u dont have to use a screw driver to ajust just pop a hatch open and it slides to ur boot size so i fix my binding


i decicd to build a kicker it turns out to be 2 fee tall and i had nothing elsed to do so i made it 4 feet wide i start seeing all this dog (or mabey people) shit all ofer the place so i clean it up and hit it the take of is too slushy to get speed so i just keep going in the same place to pack it then i start getting enough speed to do tricks i do 180s 270 (they hurt a little) 360s some crosses and straght tails or safties i dont konw

me and my friends were sessioning a rail in town and it was really fun until... I fell and my face landed right in a pile of yellow snow. it sucked.

I started freestyle this year. I practised on my own since about feb and landed my first 360 shortly after.
At the beginning of April I finally get some training and pointers at a course at Tremblant, and now i'm actually getting good!! I went from a shaky small air 3 to big air 3 grabs with style, spins in the pipe and awesome rail slides in 4 days. At Camp Fortune, we didn't exactly have great hits to practise on but now I finally get to spend some time at a REAL park, Tremblant. My second day on the hill after the course, i go off a small spine before the lift, twist my knee, and tear my MCL.

If you think you've had a bad day, just remember, at least you got to go back.

i hate it when that happens. like your goggle fog up, you lose your pass, the ski nazis destroy your jump, you hit your head on a rail, you screw up a 30 foot table. then you just wanna go home...

A friend of mine lost her season pass last year skiing through some powder. I think she talked past silent rock. She was pretty mad cause she liked the picture that she had, and they had to take a new one if she wanted to ski that day, plus she had to pay like $30 when somebody eventually sent the pass to them a week later cause they foubd it.

Try this... separate you AC joint in your shoulder on your last day in winter park... after 4 weeks of recovery, on your first day back, go out and bruise your hip so bad that you can't ski for two weeks (trust me, i could barely walk). then as soon as that heals, go and separate your other shoulder in a pipe comp.

no, i was actually able to salvage something of a season, it just sucked cause i was hurt in one way or another all season. I went to whistler for a week in march, but was hampered all week by the hip and shoulders. just gotta try to make the best of it i guess. They're all good now, just in time for summer.

one day, i was really hungover but i was still tryin to charge, i went up and skied some upper mountain, it was new pow so it was sick, then i went down to the park for the last hour or so, and i couldnt even slide a whole rail, i just started beatin myself up about it and getting progressively worse, so i called it quits for the day, the next day was fine, lifes weird, so is alcohol

all my off days are at the end of the season. im sad theres gonna be no more skiing and everything is shit. it suck. i loose my balls and style, almost instantly within a couple days.

I had one day that sucked so bad i felt it 2 months later.

I knocked myself out on the superpipe at mammoth and managed to get to ski patrol somehow and then blacked out.

That wasnt the bad part the bad part came two months later when the bill arrived.
Even with insurrance it seems the ambulance ride and oxygen administered is more expensive in fact double what it would cost if i had the same ride in los angeles. So i got to pay the difference which was a shit load of money.

So if they want to take you to the hospital from the main lodge in an ambulance unless you are really fucked up or really rich get some friends to take you down there.

one time my friend's goggles were fogged up really bad at killington, and he didnt see a rope across a trail that was closed and he hit the rope going relly fast, and he just got clothslined by the rope right in the stomach, it was funny

On bad days (weather or snow-wise) I'll usually sit in the lodge on the couches or something and get the rediculously expensive food that they sell at the mountain. Then I'll go out and ski some easy stuff and try and have fun.

this one time i tried to be cool with s, and only two people hit the step up jump switch so i was like ya im good, so i hit it switch sketchy 180 it... then im like ok i can do that with style and more air so i end up thinking i dont have enough speed and i really dont... so i hit it any ways go for the 180 wait to get landing, and bam the tips of my skis catch right before the landing... face plant right into the top of the jump... not to bad, so then i was like that was just bad luck, i hit stuff switch all the time so i hit it agian this time i go completely corked and i have big air... dont no what happened but i new i was gunna die, so i just embrace myself and land straight on my shoulder, it raddled my balls silly giving me ball whip, and then i got sick stomach, and the biggest headache and shoulder ache from the impact...
that was it for hitting switch for a while...

whos in da house, SACA is in the house!!! hahahahmuhahahah
