"A million little Pieces" by James Frey, about a crack addict's rehab. fucking amazing, i just finished it and i'm basically in a daze it was so intense and makes you think so hard. read it
I just don't like how the author tried to make himself seem like some troubled drug addict since that's getting to be sort of a trend in certain subcultures. People pretend to be addicts all the time because of the sympathy and the appeal of appearing to be some sort of tortured artist. If he had labeled it a fiction novel, which it essentially is, it may be better...but still, there is enough drug lore out there. I did these drugs. I got high. It felt great. Then my life started spiraling downhill. For some reason people just never seem to get sick of reading that sort of thing.
