Weight Loss Question

i made this little workout chart thing because losing weight isnt easy for me. im by no means obeise, but just a bit chubby. i love biking, so theres alot of that. i want to get down to 155, which for me would be like next to no body fat, right now im 190-195. i wanna get to 155 for sports so i can be a lightweight rower (not important).

every time i try to lose weight, i end up doing it for like a week or 2 and then forget it. im gonna keep to this the whole summer and see how it goes for me though.

btw, smk? = smoke (weed). weed makes me lazy, and thats why i made a schedual of when im gonna let myself smoke too, so i wont be so lazy, but can still have fun.

btw, i am already active, but this will give me a schedual so i dont miss workouts and stuff.

please dont make jokes, those of you that are skinny have no idea how hard it is to lose weight

i think you need to start smaller, you wont be able to stick to a plan that intense.

i already do the 80% biking part most weeks with no problem at all, so all i'll have to do is fit in 1 more bike workout, the running, and the circuits. i really think i can do this.

also, we had a plan similar to this for sports, but no biking, (the circuits and running were similar) so if i can jsut combine them, im confident i can do it. i even really enjoy biking, so its not really that big of a strain on me to do it.

im in the same situation as you and i smoke everyday basically.. theres no need to get that out of hand though

i lost 30 pounds in 3 months because of lacrosse, fruits, and vegetables

this is the one that i used and it worked, it was during school though but it can still work......

Breakfast(7:00 am) - i had school
Snack (10:00 am) - fruit/veggie/powerbar
lunch (12:00 pm) - sandwich/tuna
Running (2:30pm or 3:00pm)- 2.5 - 3 miles
Dinner (6:00pm or 6:30pm) - Meat/low carbs
Activity (after dinner but before bed) - soccer outsid, 1 hour


this worked for me, pounds literally fell off

you're a rower you are going to want to do a shitload of lifting on your arms...you also will want to drink a ton of water...you should be good though

I would concentrate on more core workouts

pushups situps benching crunches those will get you a lot more weight loss because there is a lot more fat on your core

dot start lifting until you loose your fat becuase you'll get stretch marks on your arms and shoulders

being lightweight would be nice, but being a borderling lightweight is gonna be shit during the season. we had a couple girls who were consistently right at 130 and granted they did really well, but it was hell for them. the one girl was so borderline and so strong that shes probably just gonna move up to the V8 next year.

You're metabolism will be much higher if you have more muscle mass, so lifting is key (especially lower body lifting, such as quads).

new goal from steezepatrol: GET IN SHAPE.

that way, you can't fall short or over achieve a "weight" goal, and in the end you'll end up healthier.

and if you want to qualify for nationals I'd stop smoking all together.

That would be key. There's no reason that you NEED to smoke, so if you want nationals, be responsible and quit altogether.

yeah, this guy is definately right, maybe try to fit in some more running, I would suggest trying to work up to at least 25 miles per week by the end of the summer, if you do that the weight will be flying off

i agree. i dont know how tall you are whatever, but getting down to 155 seems pretty low. working out a lot increases your muscle so the weight will not change as much as you might want

I would say overall, lift for sure.

Having more muscle mass burns calories, just to keep it alove. Muscle is the most important thing to weight loss. It might be hard to see extreme weight loss when lifting, but you actually lose more fat.

As far as eating goes, most people work out a TON and then go and eat normally. You need to eat a TON of protein. Make your meal base mostly protein, and then take like a daily vitamin supplement to help make up for the stuff you might be missing out on. Your parents would probably pay for the vitamins if you ask them. Tell them you just want to be more healthy.

Also, take a before picture. Take a bunch of different body parts and stuff. And throughout the summer, when shit gets hard, and u start to lose motivation, just remember the difference you are working towards, and that at the end of the summer, you take the same pictures again and then compare them, you will feel SOOOOO good.

I did something similar last summer, and again this summer I will. Keep it up bro, and good luck.
