ok

im looking for a camcorder to do some filming

not too serious but i dont want a shity one but i dont need a gl2 or something

there have already been a lot of really good posts about this, try searching. But real quick, if you're not going for quality like a GL2, then dont spend anymore than $500. for the price range, they're pretty much all the same quality-wise. Go to the mall and find one with the features you're looking for, and buy the one that fits the best in your hand.

and you cant film with a camcorder. it's impossible

well i was told any 3ccd camera would be good

i didnt say i dont want the quality of a gl2 just not that pricy

is the optura 50 good? i like the optura 300 but its pricy

well not "any" 3ccd camera is good, but i dont think you'll touch one for less than $900. The optura 50 would be a good camera for you.

I think you could get a panasonic gs500/300 for that range, wich is 3ccd, and has very good reviews

ya i cant decide on a vx1000, or a panasonic gs500 with lenses tapes batteries tripod filters etc..

accessories aren't anything spectacular, but aren't total crap either. It's a decent deal, but you might find something better if you shop around a little more.
