so my rents decided to pick up another car and they said civic; I thought ewww. Then I looked at the interior, and shit it's impressive. Check out the dash/control panel:

the new SI is decent, but in the end its still a civic, and thats enough for me, but i will admit, they have come a long long way!

I convinced my dad to get a outback sport for 19k... but yeah, that civic looks cool inside, and it probaby gets good gas milage.

for 21k you could have had a wrx,and evo, a legacy gt , audi s4 , bmw 3 series , 300c, g35 , charger , gto. a civic was not a wise choice

for an 06? You can't get any of those for 21. My parents looked at audis, wrx, outbacks, volvo s40 and s60s. Mind you, IT IS AN EXTRA CAR, we don't need another expensive car.

yeah actually you could get a brand new wrx for 21k if your willing to settle for last year's model, my buddy got an 05 wrx wagon for about 21k right after the 06s came out

do the civics redline the same as the SI? vtech always redlines high, my s2000 lines at 9, and i was wondering if the SI is different than the civic redlining at 7..

i belive that the Vtecs redlibne higer regardless of what car they are in, i doubt though that the civic hits 9000rpm, butdont quote me, im not the rice kinda guy

the new civic's really are kind of nice. but i don't like hondas. my brother just got a new lancer ralliart, and my dad used to have a lancer. i think they are pretty awesome for a moderately priced car. my family has always driven subby's but the cluthes are always needing to be replaced. but the lancer's are probably my favorite car to drive.... and of course my '89 ford ranger.

For fucks sake its not designed to be fast, who gives a shit where it redlines at. If he had bought a fucking mobile home would we all be discussing it's performance stats too? No! The dude just thinks his new car is pretty cool, which does not mean he's saying it's faster than a Lamborghini. And to you who said he should have bought a Subaru or Mitsubishi, what decent small cars do either of those manufacturers produce....keyword being 'decent'. NONE

First off, im talking about civic SI. A high-performance civic. Honda/Acura engines are all vtech, and they are made for higher rpms, and my s2000 redlines at 9000 rpms which is extremely high. I was wondering if the civic SI differs from the civic EX LX in rpms because the engine is a higher end vtech. So dont be a dick and say who cares, because you probably dont even know how to pronounce vtech.

And mitsubishi/subaru? Lets see, Impreza, Impreza WRX, Impreza WRX sti, Legacy, and from mitubishi, Galant, Lancer, Lancer Evo, Galant Ralliart. Just to name a few..dont talk.

honda makes really good cars actually....u shud check out their 06 accord cuz thats nice too, and their s2000 which is a sport car and i think xpensive, but looks awesome

my accord red lines at 7500, so i doubt the civic is that high but i doubt it is much lower
