So, i was curious if anyone has any experience with this. Let's say you're at a contest, take some really good quality pictures, is it possible to sell them to the riders sponsors? Like, do you need a media pass, and other documents in order to profit off of them, or can you just sell them if people are willing to buy them? If so, has anyone had any experience selling pictures to companies. My buddy has some amazing shots from the VT Open, and was curious about this.
nah, photos are photos. you don't need anything special to sell them.
just contact the company and see if they're interested.
make sure you research how much to charge though (wheelsandwax.com is a good resource on that) so you can go about that smartly and not get ripped off.
hmmmmm. Get a website, it's very easy to sell photos when you have a domain and whatnot. I had a website just for portfolio reasons and all the sudden it was getting like a whole bunch of hits a day and people I didn't even know were inquiring about buying prints.
