Where can I get a decent pair of bindings in the UK?
I've got a chance a brand new pair of K2 Seth Vicious for £360 (not bad me thinks - having checked up the next best is £400 - that I can find anyway!!)
Now I need a pair of bindings, I've only been able to find bindings that go up to DIN 12 and I really want something that goes up to DIN 14. I've tried the usual suspects online but they all seem to offer the lower DIN scale bindings.
Any help greatly appreciated.
thats a really good deal on the k2s. try buying online. shipping rates are really not that high. as for the bindings, you really shouldnt have a din setting of over 12, unless you are either racing or are skiing big mountain
Anywhere, just phone some shops and ask. Bindings are cheaper in the UK than the US and Canada.
Thanks for that, I'll have a look and see what I can find.
As for not setting my DIN above 12, I don't plan to, but they need to up about there, and bindings work best when kept within their limits. I'm 100kg and 1.98mt tall. I find at speed if one ski sticks in wet snow, or for some reason slows down, the combination of my weight and speed, the binding pre-releases me. This happened to me coming off Les Grand Montets a couple of times last year. I wound my bindings up from 10 to 12, but they were then working at their maximum. I'm just looking for a bit of lee-way in them. Thanks.
