dude, that box was dug out, not knocked over by wind.
The hill is shaping up to look like winter once again. You can expect more snow from the snow makers and more features from the Terrain Crew as snow making continues. Be paitent, and realize that the process takes a few days
Friday Nights in the Park event kicking off at 6 where Chesse Burgers are given to good tricks. Eastern Mountain Sports Slopestyle events kick off this saturday at 9:45am. The set up is being layed out right now and will have a 32 foot flat, a 20 foot flat up, 24 foot box, 24 foot down flat down, 24 foot down flat down box, 20 foot flat down rail and the 60. after the event, that part of the park opens to the public, along with the rest of the stuff.
We are making snow. once the closed trails are open, guns focus on the park, and plans for a jump will commence, along with plans to get the 40 foot flat down flat, the 32 foot A-box, 24 foot C-Box and a couple other things.
Snow Skating will resume on Friday, as we had to move the spot toward the lodge and away from lift lines.
Keep it steezy out there, and be advised, Sundown is pulling passes for foul language. It's been getting a little teamster like and that shit don't fly. I mean that won't be tollerated.
really good, actually amazing for their location. 100% open, lots of really well kept rail and jib hits and now a jump to cap it off. Really impressed with sundown.
no pics but on saturday it went from the top of the park; small flat rail, butter box, 32 foot flat rail, Unbow Rail, 20ft Kicker, flat down rail, 60ft urban rail, and off to the left was the flat down flat box and another butter box. May have missed one rail in there. But needless to say it was sick. Plus you got Tom's treat which is always fun to rip down and find little natural jibs.
i was up there today, was pretty sick besides the fucking sleet pelting you as you went down. but the snow conditions were great. i liked the park, except you needed a shit load of speed for that jump i thought
to bad i never said the jump was huge, or 40 feet. i just stated that if shot you up really high, and i felt like i needed to be booking it to clear the knuckle.. sorry for the shit load of stating a opinion
so you apparantly arent allowed to hike up the trail unless you have a lift ticket. its a theft of service. i had a tough time understanding this because by hiking, i am not demanding any service, i am just there. though technically by being there it is trespassing? it was a confusing and frustrating matter and they werent being very pleasent about it. ive never been somewhere that is so uptight about that everywhere else ive hiked, pass or not theyve been chill.
come on rundown where is your sense of the end-of-season spirit?
^^^what total dicks, you'd think that if u ran a mountain that had less than sufficent snow and terrain, you would make up for it by being chill and pleasing your customers, take Whaleback for example, sundown sux, dont go there unless ur desperate and want to throw away money/dignity
if ur own the mtn ur their responsibilty, by buyin a ticket/pass you are agreeing to a waiver that says if u get hurt u cant sue, if u fall and get hurt u can sue and sundown will get in trouble, also ur riding the terrain park and groomed trails that sundown pay ppl to make and set up, by not buying a ticket they cant pay their workers....buy a ticket and support the mtn, dont make a coment complaining whenu were clearly in the wrong
they have to upkeep their, jumps, boxes, rails and trails, and they have to pay people to do it, that is what you pay for. You have no right to ride this stuff on PRIVATE PROPERTY without paying. Your the dick, and your being completely irrational.
ive had a pass that covered me for most of the season and i was hoping they would understand ive been a loyal customer of theirs for the last several years, and was hoping that if they made me buy a ticket that it would at least be at a discounted price. not 41$ for 4 hours.
i hear what your saying and i was respectful to the people there that escourted me off the mountain, despite the fact that they werent respectful to me. i refuse to associate myself with bkcountryskrmo2's behavior in this, and the park ranger who was the one chill and polite person to me through all of this was the one person i apologized to for jake's behavior: actions that i was not responsible for.
whoa whoa whoa, yes i may have yelled at them, but when they first came and talked to us i was polite, cause yellin obviosly would not have gotten me anywhere, it was only after they told me they would make my friend (pales) buy a life ticket, then cut it, and then told me my ski pole was not up to standards and they could throw me off the mountain for that, that i started to argue with them, lets all get this straight, we werent the ones who iniatiated this, all i wanted to do was sesh some rails and they tried every possible way to prevent me from doing that
^haha i realized that as they escourted me off the mountain. so much for appreciation of their loyal customer base.
im just really bummed i had to end my season on such a bad note with them this is the first time ive ever had a problem with sundown
and would you seriously spend 41$ on a 4 hr ticket for this kind of late season skiing? i mean i love the sport and all but come on my job doesnt start til summer and i have to pay for gas plus probably some new bike parts this year and other sorts of odds and ends.
