im gonna be at high today if anyone wants to meet up. ill be in the park i got a little beard and ill be with a snowboarder that a big burly dude with a gnarly beard. stop me and we can ride.
SoCal can be fun. I went there 2 years ago over christmas break. It was really sketchy because everything was machined, but hey, snow is snow. and as far as machined snow goes, Mt. High has that shit down pat... they had 80% machine made snow all year in 2002 and were still able to open the entire mountain including east side when they got a few measly snowstorms.
I also like the fact that they have 9 terrain parks when fully open. Thats just sick when you think about it...
im from idaho and im hoping ill get into pomona college in claremont. if so, where would u suggest riding? ive heard bear and snow summit are only about an hour and a half or so away.. what about mammoth or june mountain? maybe if i had a long weekend i could make the trek up there? any other good mountains around? whats the word
Damm, finally found some so cal skiers. I was begining to think there were only snowboarders here. I just got my skis today and can't wait to use them.
I go to high once a week if im not out of state. I worked at high as an instructor for 5 years I know the ins and outs of that place. if anyone wants to say its crap you dont know what your talking about. I have ridden all the best parks in the country including whistler and mt high is up there with the best. big deal they are small you all know you hit the same jumps and jibs every run. anyways like I said I go every weekend if Im not out of town and I know everyone there so if you want to chill let me know.
from pomona college mt high is probily 45 mintue. i go to cal poly pomona and it takes about an hour. they do a good job of sonwmaking and always have a alot of fun jumps and rails. big bear is about half and hour farther and they have a better park and a real half pipe. i personally have ridden at mt high for the last two season because it is eaiser to get to if you want to go before class
Im comin from Dana Point and I have to drive a few hours just to get to fucking big bear. I know places in the midwest twice as good as that damn place but I guess thats the only place here besides maybe mt. high or baldy.
