Come on guys, you got to be fucking kidding. This is worse then Xgames shit, and it looks like alot of people are into it. Skiing is going to be going to shit soon after this comp is aired. What i can hope is that people dont pick up on it and some thing like this dosent happen again in the same scale as now (MTV being there, cleb judges ect...)

i could care less about MTV judges or anything and who really gives i just wanna see the pros ski, i would like to hit that thing myself but i wanna see what they will be throwing off it and what not...

It is a little wierd that mtv is going to be there cause mtv pretty much sucks. However...many more people will be exposed to freeride skiing. They are going head to head with snowboarders, and the world will finally see that skiers can bust some INSANE shit!!
Also we are a small sponsor of this event. So to tell you the truth I hope to get some exposer from having our banners up , and a tent there. If you go..show up to support the skiers...and also stop by our tent and get some free swag.

Plastic skis would rule, then you can go down to the sand dunes and use them there! Or just plain use them to ski and hit concrete urbans cause grinding on plastic is like GRINDING ON BUTTER. Just try it with plastic skateboard trucks, its amazingly smooth.

yeah it is kinda beat and i wished they would invite different skiers but at least its skiing we get to watch.....

what kind of comps would you rather see because i do agree, the xgames features arent that great and the skiing hasnt gotten that much crazier in the last few years?

It makes just the normal person who dosen't even ski and still thinks extreme skiing is mogul kickers and arials, more aware of what freeskiing really is today.

Snowboarding has survived through an MTV attack or two(Think Shaun White and the tripe sport challenge), as well as a Wal-Mart front(i.e. plastic boards with EXTREME paper graphics). Yah, we'll all still be down with it, and one event won't sell it out. Maybe 100 events in a row will, but not one.

I think this might actually be good for that sport. yeah, one of the skiers gets 10 g's and a jeep. thats great, and like other people have said..... it will let people know that there is a different form of skiing than the stereotypical one pieces and straight skis.

do you really think that skiing is going to get where you want it without it going through the stages like snowboarding & skateboarding did? they are showing respect for the sport by doing this stuff and all you assholes can do is bitch about it. be happy for the athletes.

ok, see andy what you have to realize is that in order to get skiing the publicity so the sport grows you have to bring it to the people... and i cant think of a better way of spreading the word of our sport than letting pollard loose on a 70 foot jump in down town SF... sure the whole way its setup is kinda gay, but it has to be done...
