how do you hook up a dual monitor on a mac? i have one on my PC but my friend wants on for his ibook

plug it in. go to system preferences. displays. detect displays. Done.

i dont think you can do it on an ibook.
you can only have something re-create what's shown on the screen of it.

you need a powerbook to do dual.
