The composite decking isnt any worse for your skis than regular rails, it is however stupid to use it because most of the composites are way to soft and lack durabiltity.

alright, i work in a boat yard and we build and repair boats with composites.... aka carbon fiber, fiberglass, kevlar, ect......if you vahe composite decking it is most likloy fiberglass, becuase its cheap to buy and easy to work with.....the problem with grinding on fiberglass is that metal edges will eventually start to dig in, and unline metal, fiberglass will crack, compress, and turn into power as you continue to grind, it will be very difficult to grind it for a long period of time because chips/cracks will cause you to catch and edge and eat shit.....it may be fun the first few times, but its not durable and is certainly not long lasting

so not true. i have no rail damage on my fugatuves and i did a ton of rails on them. its just like ice. the only thing that will happen to ur skis, is a bit of paint or rust will come off the rails and stain your skis maybe permanently maybe just for a few days. unless you are using TMs, or fucking crazy,

^it still damages your skis. you're sliding metal on your skis, there's some friction in there, and i'm sure it's not gonna be the metal that accounts for it.

rails dont wreck ur skis if you slide rails flat. if you turn up a ski to keep you balance better your just demoing your edge.

it is still wrecking your skis very slowly no matter how you slide rails

i apologize for the double post, but no matter how flat you slide rails, there will still be small bumps on the rail that will mess up your skis. Rails arent completely smooth, they have tiny indents that might now be visible.
