I'm listening to FTTW right now. EZ2B Anti is a great song. they remind me of the Bouncing Souls. I have to say they are one of the only pop punk bands I like.

are they really considered pop punk? i guess they kind of are a little. sick none the less. i dont really agree with easy to be anti, but its still a sick song.

ya im not exactly sure what it is trying to say, but i think it is good. you care to explain it?

and their old stuff is on the verge of pop punk (not like plain old pop, which i consider simple plan and so on to be...)

and I dont know. Go is on warner bros records. that would put them in the pop punk catagory for sure i woudl think. its the best cd that is on a riaa record lable I have heard, but none the less...they definatly changed when they got on that lable.

Dude, why do you ALWAYS get into dicussions about this sort of shit? Fuck genres.

Anyway, I saw them play live and they were incredible. The circle pit for Like A Prayer was was of the best moments I've had at a show but they didn't play Guilty By Association which is one of my favourite tunes of theirs. I'll listen to 3 or 4 of their albums back to back next time I'm working, it's been a while.

this thread makes me want to listen to them again but I lost my cd. easy to be anti is saying (what i get from it atleast) is that most people are anti this and anti that (anti bush, anti popularity, anti war) simply because its easier to be against something than it is to accept it. I mean its true for some stuff such as gothic people, but if they apply it to everything, then its not true becuase not everything is right and just. i might be way off but I think thats what it means.

I hear ya there. Im kind of confused now though. have you heard the song Forest king? thats kind of a song that is anti-hunting and anti war. I guess jsut becuase it is a song that they made doesnt mean that even from their perspective it needs to appily to everything. What I got out of EZ2B Anti was that some people just sit on their ass and complain about stuff, rather then actually doing something about it. but who knows...

Nah dude, I've got:

H2O (1996)
Thicker Than Water (1997)
F.T.T.W (1999)
Go (2001)

And they might have one after that, I'm not sure. I've hardly listened to the older ones though, and it's maybe a year since I ever played anything - they were meant to play a show here in my favourite venue in the city but they cancelled which put me off them I guess. I'm delivering pizzas for Dominos just now so it's cool to play a band's albums in order during a shift. I think H2o will be next after Placebo.

^i might be wrong, but arent they straight edge? in gulity by association he talks about how all of his friends were drunk and high and he wasnt, peope just thoguht he was because he was associated with them.
