So you guys are only planning to live to 72? I still have all my great grandparents still, there like in there late 90's and they live by themselves. Its also cause I'm full Italian, and we live longer.

hahahah id almost like to think that 1/2 of my life is gone...

I dont really wanna be old and bedridden. WHere is the fun in that? I dont even wanna be old and not bedridden... Iv seen how people treat old people. They treat them as a bother, they feel they are a waste and they only chill with them because they feel they are doing some chairty that will help them out in the afterlife. I dont really feel like putting my friends and family through all of that. And i mean, what do the old people you know do? I know one who has lost her eye sight and spends her days frustrated because she cant do the things she used to or the things she loves (like driving, She used to be an ambulance driver for the canadian millitary on the frontlines in WWII - she has always had a sports car) It kills her to be dependent on others. I know another old person who sits in her backyard and watches birds all day long. Im sure these people have great stories to tell and things to say, but they never seem to be able to say them. They are always wrapped up in some memory of themselves in the past.

My mom works at a nursing home, and the storys she tells me when she gets home from work every day are enough to turn anyone off of old age. Sure you can say "take care of yourself and that wont happen to you" but things like alzhimers and parkensons strike without warning and there is shit all you can do about them except be tourtured by them till the day you die.

I figure ill go out by skiing a cliff iv skied many times before, only the last time something unexpected will happen.

i disagree...when you are that 30-40 most people have established careers.....and more money to spend on fun things, trips, skiing, etc.

although i do miss some things about being 14 and living at home, and having my parents do everything for me.

and as for a 1/4th life crisis... bullshit... life begins at 18... before it you (chances are)... aren't making a lot of money... have limited freedom... can't drive until 16.5 in most states... live with your parents... zits... puberty... get harrassed by police more often... judged by everyone more often... get followed around stores because people think you are going to shoplift... have curfew... legal drinking doesn't begin until your twenty one and its cool and all to chill in someones house and drink but most of the time it ends up being a sausage party... unlike going to a bar and finding some skank bitch to make you itch all over... to some voting means a shit load... from how many people started threads about kerry vs. bush on this site who can't even vote (either under 18 or aren't american)(or both) apparently it means something... you get lotto tickets and porn at 18... college beats the shit out of highschool... you can't fly to a ski town and rent a car to tote your shit until 25... thats a great way to enjoy your vacation... public transportation... and its not like you can really afford to travel by yourself and stay in a hotel with in 3 miles of the chairlift due to making 10 bucks an hour and keeping 6 of it... when gas alone doesn't get you to work and back... being under 18 fucking blows... yeah you have less responsibility... but if freedom means responsibility... wheres my 9-5 job...
