It's not just about being "in good shape" cardio-wise. It's being built, Have you ever seen Nobis in person? He's built like a bulldozer. Go watch any IFSA comp all the guys are jacked for the most part. It takes lots of strength to ski fast down crud and soak up big hits. You just don't get that jacked skiing park. Park is more like the less movement and muscle the better, pretty much the exact opposite of big mountain skiing. But regardless who cares, maybe you can ski big mountains I don't know I've never seen you ski, but as a general rule on average a racer would smoke a parkrat down a mountain.
I see kids all the time at the bird wearing decked out gear, bandanas hanging off every possible place on their body, snowplowing down groomers with twins on struggling to link turns on the way down to the park.
Flip the roles, if you talked to someone who only skiied down groomers and was really good at it, and never skiied park, Do you think they would do better than you in a big air comp or a slopestlye or a rail jam? Not a chance, put his shoes on and see where he's coming from. You both come from different facets of skiing, nearly different sports.
We pay our debt sometimes.
