well I flexed them at P3 and I noticed

1.stiffer
2.wider
3. tips less pointed, more like the tip shape of the fujative

ya that's all I noticed I couldn't tell any sidewall differences or anything.

I think the plain red bases are sick. so are the original Fujative plain white bases. it's all about simplicity, yo.

I live in a place far far away, where on occasion the telly tubbies will come to play....and that's when Ma gets out the shotgun. Damn critters climb in our gutter system all the time.

plain bases are where its at symetrical too. its a nice contrast to k2s usual cragee graphics which are illa sesh dogz.

i bought them last year and i rode them 5 or 6 times. the new PEs have stiffened up a little and are also wider in the waist. they float in the pow, and they come in half sizes now. they have a p-tex top sheet wich gets chewed up pretty fast (yeah thats right p-tex TOP SHEET). These skis are a much more versitle ski for the typical free rider. Still great in the park and on hardpack but they ride the pow better.

PE's did not become stiffer at all, this is your imagination. The P-TEX does make the ski lighter than past models. Will you notice?, probably not much at all, it is a rather miniscule difference, but unplanned and humerous just the same. Good thing about the P-TEX top, if you do bash your skis together while riding, you can repair anything very easily.

yeah that guys probably right, the stiffer part is just what i have heard. ive never ridden the old pe's to compare, but just from what i have heard and what i have seen in the shops and everything.
