you can't really just rock one earring nowadays. if you're going for a lobe piercing you should get both. especially if you're going to guage. people with one guaged ear and one normal ear look completely whack.

i did that and they had no problems when i took them out with a gaping hole. most people don't even know i have my ears pierced since i took my 0 outs. but after having them out for like 2 years i think its time to gauge them again.

i pierced my ear for the 1st time 7 years ago. i have only ever gotten compliments on them however this does not mean everyone will look good with one. i do not have mine gauged. i have two in each lobe one in the cartledge on my right ear and two in the cartiledge on my left ear. i figured when i got old and would have a job i could take them out and no one would know i ever had them and guess what it works. remember though while some peoples ears do close up after gauging them some peoples will never close up, so if you are thinking about a somewhat professional career later in life gauging could possibly pose a problem

if you gage them the holes probably won't grow in and will look fucked if you ever take the earrings out...i have normal holes and haven't had an earring in them for about 5 years and the hole is still there
