i am really interested in this game... i'm a big time football player, i start offensive and deffensive line but i'm light, quick and fast... so i am interested in rugby, seems like a fun game to do in the off season... so who could give me a good way to get rules and stuff that isnt too complicated??

im pretty sure that USA Rugby has a website with rules and stuff on it, but the best way to learn about it is to talk to someone who plays. that way they can explain it better and maye even kinda show u wat theyre talking about

pick up a copy of RUGBY 2005 by EA sports. i was interested in the game and playing it on xbox made it that much more interesting. i recommend buying it if you have even hint of interest... you really cant buy it in the stores so try the interent

yes, there are seperate girls leagues. Infact, 2 years ago in Canada 38% of rugby players registered with Rugby Canada were girls.

Rugby is the best game in the entire world. Not only is it very challanging, alot of fun and great exercise, Its the only game that i know of where both teams get together afterwards and buy each other beer. It really is elagant violence and a gentelmans sport. If you have any questions id be gald to answer them.

Rugby is definetly a very fun sport, I played since was 10 up until last year when I suffered a severe knee injury that took me out for the season, not only of rugby but for skiing. If I was not so commited to skiing I would stilll have played for the team this year but I wanted to ski the full season since skiing is the only thing that I really care about.

yeah i played for 2 years in aus n it was real fun, one major rule is u cant drop the ball forwards otherwise the only team gets it which is diff from football. with u wanting to play-there isnt many leagues unless u register with rugby usa but i dunno if there would be teams around u

That was a little misleading, The ball cant go forward at all unless someone is holding it and running with it, or its being kicked. the ball is also the offside line, but the offside rules get a little more tricky.

Rugby is the only game where you have to throw the ball backwards to move it forward down the feild. It makes for a very different kind of game.

i dont get wuts misleading about wut i said, if u drop the ball forward its called a knock on n its the other teams ball, if it goes out it is also the other teams ball, u cant forward pass, u dont have a limit of tackles(or downs) depending on whether ur playin rugby league or union(league has a limit like football, union doesnt) theres a few rules for ya

i just thgought it was missleading because it excluded many of the key rule about ball movement. but you are entirly right.



Reasons why Rugby is better than football.

1. We dont wear sissy pads
2. The play is continious - no boring stops.
3. There are 15 positions. And 3 ways to score. 4. We have bigger balls.

yah, but youve got the threat of being shitkicked by a park feautre. Its not really all that differnt. In my 6 years of playing i have never been seriously injured, and I've played some top level rugby.

its not only the people, its the cleats they wear, metal spiked cleats diggin into ur legs n arms wen ur tryin to grab the ball...fun times

another rule with rugby, u cant hit a person wen tackling them above their shoulders, otherwise ul prolly snap thier neck and kill them but even tho theres the rule, it still happens, which is hilarious to see someone just get clotheslined while running full speed into someones arm

i play rugby, its a lot more complicated that it looks, such a good sport though, i suggest u get into it. contact is a lot harder than most sports
