What shots do you guys wanna see in ski movies? I'd like to see some big tow in building step ups. Like a tow down the street and jump on to the roof of a big building.

thank u alpentalik, but i saw on the man show one time a guy on a bike getting towed by a van trying to do a step up onto a building, he undershot it by about 4 feet and smashed into the wall, it was great

Definately giant kickers into powder. Park jumps have been so overshot now, theres only so many tricks you can throw on so many groomed tables before you get repetetive. Not to say an all park movie cant be good with good edititing and music, but a fresh and original movie will always be first on my list. Huge cliff drops, backcountry booters, crazy rails, pretty much the stuff guys are doing in the new movies like happy dayz.

I want more behind the scenes stuff, the dummy spits, and an editors cut with out takes depicting how long it takes to get the perfect shot, i also want to see another something about McConkey movie thing like seth cronicles and stuff.

I want to see more wipe outs. They are quite fun to watch and probably happen all the time when filming. On Big Mountains: Longer sequences without cuts in it so you know they are for real.

Yeah and what that guy said, I really liked seths segment in ski movie 2, I wanaa see more big mountain like that, full of non stop action pushing the sport to the edge.

also more follow up camera work, like right behind them during a massive air. And more first person camera work, dont see that much, I know it's risky but it looks so cool. And I wanna see where the pros live, where they grew up, where they first threw down, what makes them tick.

More helmet cam. Or rider-perspective shots - like candides on-ski thing in happy dayz.
Also in Candides segment the shot where he does the huge step up and the heli is kind of tracking around him. That was a super nice shot. I would like to see more booters shot from the helis but with moving shots - not just static. Employ some of the pilots skill.

dude one of the sickest movies i have ever seen is Jour Blancs by Arno Adam and Fan Fan. these guys won both freeski championships and all. in the movie they don't jump a cliff higher then 10 ft. but you have the sickest lighting the sickest turns in the sickest terrain. it had a super smooth beat that kept all the way through. but then again tastes are something personnal.

think about how difficult it would be to get a follow cam on big tables and stuff w/o wrecking yourself and equipment, there could be some gnarly mixups between riders and cameramen, esp. if a skier bails, and the camera dude lands on him, otherwise that would be sweet shit. but yeah, i'd like to see more skiographies like 'theres something about Mcconkey'

-If people don't want 'Posers' in their sport they should quit skiing and take up knitting. I highly doubt that anyone 'Poses' as a knitter. -Jibtech

I wanna see a 'Greatest Hits' video from some of the big name companies where they take all of their best shots from all their movies and put them into one movie. It would show everything from ages ago as well as brand new stuff.
