holy shit...man-made snow?...only as much as any other solid mountain needs it...if we have a good winter then the mountains rarely have to blow anything except for minor upkeep in some spots...try taos...santa fe is a cool little mountain...pajarito is small and local...basically the northern half of the state folks. think about it...northern NM isn't that far off from wolf creek in southern CO (if you haven't heard of creek, search it and wake the f up) which hauls tons of snow every season. not all of NM is classified desert, we do not carry green cards, and yes..NM is an actual state.
as for ski apache...i haven't skied it...i think it may actually be south of albuquerque and i heard the southern resorts did alright this year...i would just search it online and check their site. if that doesn't work out, you can always drive north and check out taos..it's a solid mountain and a lot of fun.
