if youve been following the news, a bunch of chilean army soldiers got trapped in a serious blizzard in the andes (ahem, portillo, termas, valle nevado, el colorado, las lenas, etc, etc)....the reports are that this is a storm of the decade there, its like the blizzard that hit tahoe, co, and the wasatch this year....same exact thing, so if you want a full season of ridiculous pow and you lived in one of those places, head to S.A. right now......

how hard is it for a 17 and 18 yr old to go to a big resort down there and how expensive? fuck i wanna ski. i cant get to camp this year cause i gotta save for college. I have a passport and some money in the bank, are there any early season deals floating around for an all inclusive stay??

a cheap hostelling whit breakfast 10 usd for day, hte ticket lift is 30 usd for day, 350 usd the seasson for ski and 550 usd for snowboard, food is cheap you can cock yourself in the hostelling, party is cheap, the bottle of pisco (like tequila but better) is 3 usd, big joint for 1 1/2 usd

i went to ski this weekend, never seen so much snow by his time of the year, and is not even winter yet, this would be a great season for sure.

Being a Chilean I can tell you that it is definetely worth gong down there. Much higher quality than New Zealand. I know you can stay the a week in the Portillo hotel for 400-450 in their bunk bed rooms and you still get all your food, lift tickets and access to the heated pool. The only problem is the cost of the flight, which is why I will not be able to go this summer. No parks though so pack a shovel and build yourself a bc kicker.
