Severe loss of appetite?

i can't really figure it out, i've lost about 20 pounds in the last two months, and lately i don't even get munchies when i smoke. i'd really like to not lose anymore weight, but i really can't figure out why i'm just not hungry that much anymore. lack of sleep maybe, or maybe getting dumped like a fat sack of rocks. like right now my stomach is totally empty and i'm so hungry but i couldn't put anything in my stomach even if i wanted to. and all i had yesterday to eat was a 6" subway sandwich (which i couldn't even finish) and a couple slices of pizza. what the fuck

when i got clean i loss my appetite completely, i could go a couple of days on an english muffin. and four months later i still for the most part just eat one small meal a day during the mid afternoon and i'm set.

Strode I would think the reason for that is because of the girl situation you are going through. If you want to get some weight back start drinking lots milkshakes, I'm sure you could put those down easy, pretty much anything on the DQ menu.

yeah, eat that crap if you want to increase your weight, and cholesterol. all ya gotta do is exercise more, and you'll get hungry. i'm the same way. i could just sit around all day and barely eat anything, but if you go outside, do something physical, you're going to be fucking craving a steak or some chicken or something dude.

You should definitly get checked for blood related diseases, they're often causes of extreme loss of appetite. If you're also naseaus, I'd get a blood test for such stuff as HIV.

I'm not trying to scare you, because you don't have HIV. I just checked out some blood related diseases for a project, and it said those two side effects.

i've had hyperthyroid disease pretty bad since i was about 16, and didn't know i had it until i was about 19 or 20 (i'm 24 now and i've been taking pills for it since then). my check-up is in a week or so, so i'll ask my doc when i go in for my blood tests that i have to get every three months. but i really don't think that's it, since the disease has never really had too much of an impact on my appetite, just my weight in general (among tons of other things).

I go through spells of eating. I eat much more in the winter than I do in teh summer. I just don't get hungry when it's warmer out. But whenever I get super stressed or have a lot on my mind, I can't eat anything without feeling sick.

^usually i am too....i go to dinner and not only finish every bite of my meal but usually whatever anyone else around me didn't finish. but now i can't even finish a bowl of cocoa pebbles sometimes

i went through a phase of not being able to eat cocoa pebbles...mix up your diet. eat like reeses cerial or trix. eat fruits and shit. usually if you eat junk food you start to feel those effects

Yeah dude, not only do I not eat as much, but my eating habits have gone wack. I wake up at like 11:30 on weekends depending on what time I go to bed, eat a bowl of cereal then, then have a somewhat meal around 5, then i'm never hungry for dinner, then I eat while watching Futurama or something. Plus I don't eat half of what I used to. Speaking of food, I'm pretty hungry now.

It could be cause your under a lot of stress from getting dumped or just stress in general. When your body is under stress it mobilizes extra blood cells and other areas of your body. In order to do this it often times slows down your metabolism and inturn cuases you to be less hungry. That may not be exactly right but my psych class said something along those lines. So stress=loss of appetite.

i think ur suffering from skiing withdrawals. these problems happen to all of us hardcore skiers once the snow melts away. my advice, some how find enough money to go somewhere where they still have snow and ski for a few weeks. you'll be better in no time!

well i take adderall(spelling) and it makes me loose my appetite. i hate taking it because it makes me tired and i cant do anything. but yeah i also dropped like 15 pounds for no reason, ive been off the adderall for a while now but i still have no appetite.

two years ago, i went through somthing terrible that sounds exactly like this. i have allways been a skinny guy but at13 years old i was arround 70 pounds and i didnt have the energy to get out of bed... for some reason i couldnt put anything in my mouth. It wasnt that i didnt want to eat. i just couldnt eat anything without feeling really sick. my mom talked to a bio chemist(friend of the family) and he gave me omega 3 vitimans and that worked great after about a week of taking 4000 mg a day or whatever. but what was wrong with me was that i was eating all this junk food constantly and had really bad nutrition. But im good now

i feel like that right now for the past 2 days. i'll eat breakfast and then not be hungry every again. my stomach usually growls by 3rd period but latley i haven't heard or felt anything. yesterday i came home and was really hungry but didn't want to eat. then it just went away and i haven't eatin anything today yet and its 2 and i am not hungry. its creepy, i'm usually hungry after school but latley...i haven't been hungry at all.

Going back to Omega 3's. Alot of it about what your eating too. If your eating a lot of what your body cant handle (aka fast foods, dairy or refined sugar) your body will shut down while it tries to deal and cope with all the shit in your system. Talk to your doc and try to see a nutritionist. I did and it made a HUGE difference. Try to limit your refined junk sugars such as Cocoa puffs and replace it with peanut butter and an apple and see how that works.

I just basically stop eating as long as im constantly busy. During the ski season being on the hill 6 days a week and being at the horse farm and always being on the road I lived off of Subway or not eating at all. As soon as I stop and get bored I find thats when i eat and but if im constantly busy I cant think about food, dont have time!!


























Couple good friends, couple cold beers, couple HUGE puddles all equal a wicked night on the farm...

She is right, the omega's are so important! You need to balance them, but we already get alot of omega 6. Salmon, flax seed oil, and fish oil are great sources. Also getting your B vitamins are crutial. I think I need to come cook for you for a few weeks, i garentee your appetite will come back. :)

you gotta be careful how you take your B vitamins tho. I have a B6 deficiency and I have to becareful that I dont over load on a full B supplement...
honestly dude just try eating a peice of fruit or a handful of veges over anything else and pack the protein. If you dont think you can eat a meal make a shake including protein and a wicked product if you dont get enough veges and fruits is called Green ++ you can get it at GNC a spoonful of that in a protein shake and its a proper meal and your good to go!!! Try it you would be surprised.. that and watch your Iron get tested for your iron count too!
