Binding position for summer storage?

Besides de-tensioning the DIN setting, what position should I leave the bindings in?
Heel piece "handle up" position (like when I have my boot in) or the boot-out position (ski brakes engaged)?
Appreciate any help.

Binding manufacturers tell you do lower the din, and pop the heel up without a boot in it. In reality it doesnt matter though, unless your using some oldschool bindings then its a good idea to do it.

It actually does matter.. the higher the din is set on the binding, the more tension is on the spring inside. AFter a while the spring looses its effectivness making the binding not work as well. For people like us who go through stuff yearly, or every couple of years its not a huge deal, but its always good idea to crank them down anyway

With current day bindings it literaly does not matter. On older bindings, yes it does matter. But most people will break or replace the bindings before the elasticity of the spring starts to change. Its more important to make sure they have the proper lube on the moving parts and that any afd pads are intact, and that the body of the binding is dry, than to lower the din and pop the heels, the spring will not lose its elasticity and that is the only reason for lowering them. And for those of you riding on a din over 12, if your riding that high you should know enough to ignore me because you should know how your equipment works once you get to that point.
