My old skis are... old and shitty. And they're fiberglass. So I thought I'd do a little experiment with twin tipping. Here's what I did.
- Stuck them in a vice
- Heat Gun until you can smell the hot fiberglass
- Slowly bent forward
- Let Cool, then cool some more
My only problem was that the top sheet wrinkled and the second ski I tipped I heated for too long and there's a little bubble there. But they worked, I'm gonna use them on my makeshift rail as soon as I can get some ice. I can post something on my fall rail too... maybe.
