comin to you live and direct from the west coast. Im sitting in the UBC
campus, wet after a walk in the rain. (surprise). I arrived on thurs,
and went to bed, woke up on saturday, thought it was thurs night. Guess
i was tired. I guess it was getting stuck in Meritt the shit hole town
for 8 hours from midnight to...u figure it out. I was 10 km out of the
town, no tims to keep me fed and warm. started a fire in a farmers
wooded fields around 330 when it got hella cold. it was a good night,
warm next to the fire, and stars overhead. blizzard in the morning. took
2 hours to get out of kelowna, KELOWNA SUCKS. its huge. well, the first
ride i got from banff to kelowna was a construction manager, albertan
pick up truck drivin hick. I had a great ride with him. We talked about
my lodge ideas and all that, he was impressed, and i asked him if he was
inot music. He throws on some classic rock, big surprise. I smoke him
on a joint and put on global underground - athens. hour long song, ultra
modern. He freakin loved it. I put on some Kosheen drum n bass, he was
like a little kid. I turned a hard assed cowboy into an excatsy raving
teen! it was hilarious! He offered me a job (not that kind u pervs) and
an apprentice too, so theres money if i want it... not to mention living
in fort macmurray... boo.
then it was a cool chick in a green army special ops toyota, wickid cool
ride. only 15 min though. Next was a business man who rolled his own
cigs and listened to hendrix, and he actually saw him in ottawa and it
changed his life. pretty cool. then it was a spunky thirty yr old in a
pt cruiser. Then i was there.
Staying with my aunt and uncle in van, they took me to a great iranian
meal at the pink elephant. it was awesome.
Well, theres 3 feet of powder waiting in banff, and the spring passes go
on sale in 2 days, and Im bring my skis back. Eddy is working
construction with octavia (tin bashing for Fox Air) during the week, so
I left him to fend for himself now.
I wrote a 2 hour long email the other night, and that fucking side
button on the mouse that goes "back" (what a retarted idea!) deleted the
whole thing. I was mad... it recapped the banff adventures so far. And
im not in a rush to re write it. Summation: walked on top of half frozen
waterfall and river, snuck into hot pool at chateau banff. hid in the
corner for 10 min as the janitors smoked 10 feet away. almost choked
eddy when he started coughing (arghhh!!), lost a game of Teacher when
showing eddy where and where not to step on thin ice. eddy liked that. i
did too, its no fun winning ALL the time. living with 2 kiwi sisters,
who think theyre the shit. they drilled holes in the bathroom door to
spy on us to make sure we dont "Mannify" their bathroom (tools..)
umm... biked up and down norquay on a icy, snowy downhill trail (eddy
hadnt been on a bike in 3 years... last time was with me, go figure) and
he almost died a bunch, but he did surprisingly well. maybe even better
than you aric. i bailed at the very end, of course, on the last piece
of ice, of course, both tires at once, of course, because i had just put
my sunglasses on cause of the flying mud and didnt see the ice glare...
Hali, (Ithoughtitwas), my fantasy redhead ive been ghost chasing since grade 1 came to
banff for a few days. what a great few days. Hi hali! (she wants to be
my girlfriend, does she really know what shes getting herself into? i
doubt it, but im game) so yeah, you heard right, i have a girlfriend...
man its weird to say that.... ive only had one other (besides the three
week flops im so well known for) so thats new and exciting. Hey, i need
someone to massage my aching back :0 ! just kidding hali.... ill massage
ok, before i get all fluffy and girlie on your assses im gonna go check the forum to see if any one on campus who got my call for
help has responded and then ill go chill with some strangers, maybe go
on the pub crawl tonight.
