It's got an "isocell woodcore" which is what they've used in their snowboards for awhile now. It's described as this:
A new generation of Rohacell, originating from the helicopter industry to deliver light weight performance and superior dampening characteristics combined birch wood for everlasting pop. Critically positioned wood for tip to tail snap unites with our new lightweight ISOCELL core material to deliver a whole new spectrum of board feel, control, response and pop.
So in conclusion, it's a hybrid core. We'll see how it holds up. I'm not entirely against Salomon, but I have not been impressed with their foam construction.
I'm willing to give any company a chance to make quality product, I've ridden Salomon in the past and enjoyed it then.
However, I have ridden the Karmas extensively and I can certainly attest to their prowess in all conditions, as every single review in every single magazine states.
Just try them and believe.
