... In all honesty, I doubt 4frnt is all that concerned with what their pro riders feel like demoing. Steele can do what he wants. He probably won't switch companies, and it doesn't seem likely that K2 would pick him up even if he wanted to leave 4frnt.

actually teams ride other companies skis all teh time while developing new skis, while k2 was developing the public enemy they team went out and rode practically every ski from every company to get ideas and what not.

How is a rider to know of other skis' capabilities if he doesn't try them him/herself? You kind of pigeon hole yourself if you design a ski without ever skiing anything else by any other companies. You need to know what you personally like in a ski, you need to know what other brands build their skis like and you need to determine if those techniques and constructions are beneficial or detrimental to your own liking. It just makes sense. Think about it!!!
Steele has a pro model with 4FRNT. He is seeing what others have to compete with his own designs.

part of steele's job is to help do r&d for new models. the fujative and the stl are a lot alike, both being very flexible. steele was probably riding the fujative to get a feel of what is different on the fujative to try to incorporate, or if its a problem, avoid it in the stl. hopefully this should put bullshit to rest
