Good computer speakers?

hey i'm tired of using my headphones. i need some speakers to connect to my laptop. what are some good ones that don't cost a shiteload? preferably something popular that i can find on ebay for a less than in the stores. recommendations?

just get a sub woofer. and some piece of shit speakers. cheap, and everything will still sound good. but i'd advise you don't even get computer speakers. get speakers for your bedroom or something and burn cds and listen to shit there.

but, if you've really got your mind set on getting some speakers for your laptop (which is pointless because they're expensive, and can't really be all that good if they're going to be powered by a computer) get something harman/kardon

if you have a stereo with RCA imputs just run a stereo to rca cable to your rca imputs on your stereo and your set. you can also get a FM transmitter and it will broadcast a signal to your stereo.

for aroudn the 60 dollar price range go for altec lansing or logitec speakers (i think they are made by the same company anyway) They sound great, buy the 2.1 (2 speakers 1 sub woofer) They have great bass and sound really clear, ive bought all kinds of computer speakers and dont buy anything less than those because you get what you pay for.

Logitech speakers have good bang for their buck. And to the guy saying that you can't get good speakers for a computer, I've got some wicked 5.1 surround speakers powered by my computer. You can hear them down the block.
