hey i'm from michigan and movin to mammoth this season, but has anyone ever heard of hittin rails in new york city, cause the skatin is really good, and that's the kind of style i'm into. Just wonder if they get enough snow. Think of all those rails and shit to jib off of. any ideas, drop a response.
thanks

i live like 5 minutes from the city...first of all, i dont think we have gotten more than a foot of snow in the past 5 years combine. Second, cops suck in nyc and they would bust for trespassing and defacing public property in a minute. hey, if we have a blizzard or something though, call me up, i'll be the first one to go!

cool but we could always get ice rink snow or something? i think it would make for a badass trip. i've skated there at night and that's when you have to go.

where you should go is Chicago, they get a lot more snow. I was there this summer and I almost went crazy seeing all these rails but no snow to set them up on, I think that the Forum team went there this winter and set up some crazy shit. I'd go in a second.

sliding rails in NYC isn't unheard of... i'm lookin at a pic of anthony b sliding a rail in brooklyn (or at least that where they say it is).
sliding rails in manhattan is key.
i wish T. got more snow, there are some fucked up rails there to session, but they only get like a dusting of snow in the average year.

ya think if you get snow in philly, n.y.c., and boston? the jibbing would be as same as skating in those cities, that's what i'm interested in riding..

nah dude...if this is gonna be a true gangsta jib trip, its gotta be nyc. if you go anywhere else it defeats the purpose.

or we could be complete savages, head down to like west 33rd and find some big open office space areas that have rails and ledges, rush in, place snow, grind record and bounce cause we'll get picked up so fast there
