Subject: Top 5 Skiers All Around
I'm getting hated on super hard over at TGR for basically telling them they're all delusional in making their lists of the top "all around" skiers, ie skiers who can do everything... Curious to see if Newschoolers is equally out to lunch in their perspective on these matters. Who is at the top of the sport right now when you consider all aspects of it in your opinion?

Tanner, Dane, Wiley Miller, Dylan Hood flies under a lot of radars but kiillls it, and Abma. those are the 5 that popped into my head but so many others like Rainville, Pep, and Tim Durtschi. etc. the list goes on. If you count everything equally those would be close to my picks but ahh I dunno.

I didn't get hated on for the list so much as I did for telling them they sounded like Epicski.com with a different colour scheme. Seriously, some of those guys were listing people like Erik Roner, Hjorleifson and Shane (RIP) who are all, obviously, sick and at the top of what they do, but it's not all around. Sage might be the best skier in the world but I don't think he's the best all-around. Then some guy posted that vid of that swiss dude doing a switch triple front and described it as "none of the top park guys are doing anything close to this", which was just ridiculous. Anyway, my list was this.

Going back to Focused and his first AK trip it was clear then that he could hold his own and he's obviously grown since. Candide... well, recent X games slope gold covers the park and rails, and he was at one point at the top of the pipe game and can still bring it despite not being at a level where he could place near the Doreys and Dumonts (and Tanner Halls) of the world. Haven't seen urban from him in years. As for the rest of it, Candide Kamera should put any doubts to bed. And all I need to say on the subject of Dane is, watch the first segment in Everyday is a Saturday and you'll know."

Honestly? Some of the TGR guys make sense and some of them are ornery. Who the hell can make one list? Its like trying to say that Christianity is the only right religion, or Mormonism is better than Buddhism. Its dumb to compare lists and call people wrong for making what they believe is a right list. In my opinion its bullshit to call people out for making lists. I mean a East Coast park skier is going to have very different opinions than me. Why should stuff like this be nothing more than a fun thread for people to share their favorite skiers?

Tanner is at the top. No arguments there. He slayed moguls too, and im sure he could race.
Jon. Racing, jump innovation and slayage, can do big mountain, is decent at rails (hes not nearly as bad as people portray him as, he just doesnt pretzel like twall)
T rain. Pretty damn good at urrythang. Jump steeze. Used to slay rails, not sure if he still does at all. Lately has been killing it in the BC and even did pretty well in AK

It's so tough to pick who's the top 5 all around.
In no particular order (god i hate picking like this):
-Abma:i don't think there's any type of skiing he can't do and do it better than the next guy.
-Seth:i saw a video (or maybe it was a sequence picture) of him a few years ago doing some inverted trick onto a rail on his seths. wish i remembered where/when i saw it.
-Steele Spence-dude is sooo underrated. maybe not on top of his game as much as he used to be but i've skied with him a few times and WOW, he's much much more than a rail/park rat.
-I think once Sammy get's more into the BC he'll take over Tanner's spot which would be mentioned right here. So basically, this would be Tanner in top 5 for me but I'm goin prophetic on Sammy in the near future. So he and Tanner will have to share for now since Tanner is injured and sammy is charging.

Tom Wallisch - Urban/Rail God, king of afterbang, need I say anymore?
Andreas Hatveit - He can throw litteraly any trick and is probably the best skier at throwing it both ways!
Tanner Hall - Universal, so adaptable and incredibly head strong
Jossi Wells - First kid from down under to join the ranks and has progressed remarkably over the last 5 years on the circuit
