Subject: Just Found Fentanyl in Stepdad's garage
What the fuck do I do?
My mom, who defends him to the death (that he isn't abusive/alcoholic/an asshole) would only accuse me of buying it to frame him, so telling her would do nothing.
I could confront him directly, but mingling in his trade could result in violence (I know he deals other opiates).
I could take photo evidence, keep it until I turn 16, and use it against him in a court, get emancipation and move in with my grandmother/uncle.
I could destroy it.
All I know is that I wont let it by me again. Ive found his Suboxone before, and didnt really do anything about it.
To add to this, I checked his history, and a few days ago he was reading all sorts of shit about FBI Clandestinely produced fentanyl from mexico, in the form of a Duregesic Transdermal patch, the most common form bought and sold illicitly, reinforcing my assumption that it was purchased illegitimately. They dont prescribe that shit to just anyone, that shits for like, cancer patients.

I wish that I could tell you that I know how you feel or give you some personal advice, but I've been blessed with a supporting family and friends. It seems as if you are very mature for your age, and I give you mad props for that. By now, I'm sure you've realized the right thing for you and your brother is to get out of that situation immediately and notify the police. Also, go to your teachers and family (uncle, etc) for support and advice. Although you've handled this well so far, you are still only 15, so the smart idea would be to go to a trusted adult and make a plan. Good luck with this and I hope you and your brother can get out of the fucked up situation that you find yourself in. All I can say is that the sooner you act on the situation the better. You don't need your step-dad to find out about this and try to stop you or give him any more time to put you and your family in danger.
My best piece of advice is to not look to NS for advice. As helpful as we all like to think we are, very very few of us have ever been in situations remotely close to yours. I'd call an anonymous child help line. They're trained to deal with stuff like this, and will have way better advice than any of us.
That said, if I were you I'd take as many pictures as possible. I'd attempt to have a serious talk with your mom, bring up his past addiction issues, and talk about the possibility of rehab.

My dad works in a program called Guardian Ad Litem (basically he's someone who only focuses on the child's interest in situations like the one you're in, if it got the attention of the courts) and I hear about stuff like this all the time. It's so hard to really mature and become a good person when you're in a bad situation like this. Untrusting biological parents and sketchy step parents.
I'd really say go talk to your school and they can help you out. The police would get in a situation like this and then you'd have to go to court to find out who gets custody, but it really doesn't sound like you should be in that home. Trust me. There are people in the court systems who have only the interest of the child and they can help you out in a ton of ways. Please take this in to consideration. His dad isn't younger and experimenting in college, his dad has 2 kids and should be being responsible for them and bringing them up in a safe environment and is doing this shit NOW.
