I love the new layout...b - Site Discussion - Forums

So after a couple of weeks, they'll have re-indexed the site and the search will work a lot better! As someone said though, the old search bar is still there under "advanced search"
Also remember that this is only the first in a round of upgrades... we'll be changing, adding, tweaking and fixing all the way up to winter, so please share your opinions!
I wish the site was a bit faster. Hell, as I type right now my text is lagging behind. I don't like the quick links on the left side and the ads on the right side right next to the forum. I think it made the forums skinnier/smaller...not sure though. I'm not saying these changes didn't bring any upgrades, but I just wish the effort that went into changing the appearance of the site went into enhancing the speed, functionality and efficiency.

also the google search doesn't fit on my window properly.. also the font size for the google search page seems a bit too large compared to the rest of the site?
ha just messing but really the advanced search is just like the old searchbar.

I love it too but, since the home page info in more dense it leaves a lot of blank space below which just goes on because of the number of people online. An expand (+) and subtract(-) button for friends, messages, and online would be dam nice.
I can do that on a horse!
The search bar is.. interesting. I'm sure it works alright.. but the thread titles that you're looking for aren't there. Could cause problems.

I was really looking forward to some thread tags to find them more efficient. I know this sounds demanding but its just constructive criticisms.

Hah yeah we actually need to get google to re-index the site... you'll notice in the top of your browser now that the thread title is at the top. Haha I just found Spam Buster 8000!!! Keeps your from posting multiple times in news/videos etc.

The whole left colum might take some time to get used to (but its good)
And the 2 different ways you can get to the cults which also puts them in 2 different orders is kind of weird.

Yes, i know. I read it. I'm just eager to have it fixed. I don't feel like having to click on advanded search and open up another page to search threads the normal way.

i like it too. but... the only thing ive noticed so far is that i cant rate ppl in the forums anymore. im on a mac with safari, and when i mouse over their karma, a box appears, but its the one with a blue ? in it. and i dont like the new search.
How long does it take for blogs from random members to appear in the random member blog list?

Yeah. I don't want to sound harsh or aynthing, but this is what I'm sort of thinking. I do really appreciate everything the NS staff is doing, its sooo sick. But I just don't think changing the layout and backgrounds is completely necessary sometimes. Change is not always good.I wish the site was a bit faster. In inbox, I think incoming and outgoing messages should have a different background row color. The To: is a bit confusing but should stay. It would just make it easier to read.
