You gave me broken bindings, I am giving them back to you with a fixed brake, a spring cover, and $75. I don't see how you can complain.
When I took the metal plate off the bottom of the binding I put the smallest flat screwdriver I could find between the metal tab and the plastic, seperating it just far enough to clear. Then I used another flat screwdriver and a cat's paw to tap it off from the other side, hitting lightly enough so if I had hit my finger it probably wouldn't have hurt. On the first hit the platic base plate fell in two pieces. Anybody who has actually taken apart one of these heels will know that they will take a lot more force than that.
