ok so that post office scam thread was hilarious, and i think it deserves its own thread.

until like 4th grade, i thought it was bading suit, not bathing suit.
and until like 2 years ago, i thought mild meant medium

anyone else got their stories?

when I was little I thought magenta was pronounced "mag-net-a"

my sisters husband who is in his 30's was eating dinner with my family on night and somehow we got on the topic of ocean glass. he said "i thought ocean glass was manufactured" and i thought he was just making a joke and started laughing at him, but it turns out he was serious and has thought that ocean glass was made in a factory all his life. he spent the next 10 minutes trying to make sense of his existence.
