Why are librarians so arrogant?

Today, I went to staple my research paper that I persistently worked on
for the last two hours of my day. I made my way to the main desk full
of appliances needed to complete my paper. My eyes widened as the
automatic electric stapler punched my 4 pages of research into a
finished piece of literature. Quickly to respond to my action was the librarian.
"We don't want to see people using that stapler for only a few pages.
It's useless to use it for only a few pages. Go walk around the desk
and get a hand stapler"
So apparently, putting an electric stapler on a desk free for
everyone's use, simply means "only use me if your serious about
stapling." This is one of many occasions. On another instance, as I saw
Mr. ****** walk by the "no drinks or food" sign with a coke in his
hand, he yelled at a student for bringing a coffee into the library.
Librarians have one of the easiest, relaxed and quiet jobs as far as I
have observed. I am not aware of what degree that they earn in college
to make them so incredibly useless, mean, and cynical human beings in
the workplace, if anybody knows please let me know.
