I think that entrepeneurs are the key to the revival of our economy and I agree that idea sharing is important, but i think that globalizing the world will never ever happen. Just think of all the warring countries and the countries that value death over life. Do you think they'll cooperate?

I just wrote a paper on how no matter what we're getting out of the recession, even if Obama's plan doesn't work. Good TED lecture though, I thoroughly enjoyed that.

i liked the lecture though i really wish he hadnt mentioned pharmaceuticals and i hate pharmaceuticals.

i agree about the idea creators. 1 world 1 large market. would be ideal...do i believe it will happen? im not sure.. i dont really think so though. our world is so divided and i dont see how china and india and africa getting wealthier will cause a sense of oneness in the world. i do understand his point though. a bigger pool of idea creators is good for the world as a whole but how will individuals in other nations react to it? arent they all greedy and jealous by nature..they being political leaders in the western world.

politics will have to stop running the show if there is to be globalization no? i dont know. im terrible with economics, i only took two eco courses in university and they were both at 8am so i slept through most of them!

economists need to stop looking through the world through only their perspective...THAT linear approach is, IMO, what is the problem with our global markets today.

There is more to life then just pursuing economic 'growth' (social concerns, environmental concerns, cultural concerns, etc).

I too plan on starting my own business for that very reason :)
