Do the fish only fry in the kitchen?

ok so i was sitting in my Health class today and my mind started drifting(no shit rite). so anyways, i started thinking. you know how water is a serious conductor of electricity, and your supposed to get out of like the ocean when its lightning out. well howcome the fish dont get fucked up or just straight fryed, there in the water and lighting always hits the ocean. i woulda love an answer to that if anyone has one.
