About: Quazbotch has been here since the beginning and some may consider him to be coolest member on the site. However, there is a more obvious reason as to why Adam deserves this one. Apart from his iconic bumble bee icon, Adam has made procrastination that much easier since the release of his game "Gnarshmallow" a little over a year ago. Improvements are constantly being made, the most recent being the new "Ski the East" run. There is no question that Gnarshmallow is the best flash-based skiing game out there right now.You can thank your addiction, pastime, or however else you'd like to call it to the genius creator!

About: Summer is just about over and it just so happens to be Steve’s turn for member of the month. If you bought a sticker pack from the store, then odds are your stickers were cut by The Weedster himself. Steve weeds and cuts stickers so fast that there are never any left for our other interns to cut, hence the nickname. On top of being amazingly talented at cutting stickers, Summersover is also the incredibly good looking model who posed for the NS office sale that was held a while ago. So here’s to Mr. Summersover aka Weedster aka Stevester aka Steve Summers. We appreciate all of your hard work!

About: With over 5 years as part of the NS community nomensteven has seen the site evolve as much as his skiing. Growing up in the east, he worked in the shops and on park crews, yearning for something bigger. He moved to BC for a diploma in Ski Resort Management was that chance, and is working at major BC resort with the ski patrol and avalanche control. Future plans include tailoring avy training to the younger crowds now getting into back country riding. Steven has always been a great resource on NS, and being knowledgeable in everything from gear to safety, constantly provides information and answers all over the site. He is constantly online keeping up on the latest news, events and company info, and can easily be spotted as one of our few "@th1337" members. Thanks for being one of NSRadio's biggest fans!

About: Josh Bishop takes home this month's member of the month thanks to the steady and always informative content he's been bringing to the site for quite some time now. Most recently, Josh gave us an extremely entertaining interview with Henrik Harlaut, and broke the news about Windells' Academy. Josh was down at Windells for a while before heading up to Whistler for a few weeks to coach kids at Mogul Logic, so expect some more good things coming down the pipe from him soon. And no, he's not related to Doug.

About: Andy Parry is one half of the team behind the immensely popular, "Traveling Circus" webisode series. Hailing from the wasteland that is Rochester, NY, Andy has given the ski world tricks like the hippie killer, man-bear-pig, and the chinco. He enjoys annoying Will Wesson, shooting with Meathead Films, taking walks near the Burlington water front, and most importantly, spending an inhumane amount of time on Newschoolers.com. Andy Parry, he's someone you want to be like when you grow up.

About: This month's member of the month, fittingly, is Josh Bryant. Josh has been one of the most positive, active, contributing and best members in the history of Newschoolers. Josh started, owned and operated one of the greatest shops the sport of skiing has even seen in Jibij. Recently, Josh sadly announced that he will be closing Jibij down and leaving the ski industry to pursue other endeavors. On behalf of everyone on NS and the ski industry as whole, we'd like to thank Josh for everything he's done for the sport, and wish him the best of luck in the future.

About: Ever since he started making cartoons he’s instantly become a hit on NS. It takes a combination of humour, a talent for drawing and a keen eye for what goes on in the ski world to give us all the laugh that we crave. Be sure to check out his blog for more of his ballin’ cartoons as they come. If they don’t make you crap in your shorts with laughter, then I don’t know what will!

About: Besides being one of the gnarliest photographers out there, Pippin is also an awesome NS member; contributing to the site with insanely knowledgeable posts while keeping us in the loop with his blog. Recently Pippin was summoned to document and write an article for the PWNED event that went on at Moonstone Mountain in Ontario and did an awesome job at it. So awesome that he more than deserves being crowned our next member of the month. You da man Pippin!

During the past couple of months Mat, along with our awesome buddy Malcolm, has been working his ass off for nothing more than a measly title of “member of the month”, which he won’t even be getting for a full month. Haha. Even though he may have made a couple of unspeakably, terrible mistakes financially setting us back tens of hundreds of thousands of millions of dollars!!! About: BigJim (along with Malcolm and MatRich) is our official new intern here at the NS office in Montreal, and as a result, he is also our newest mod. Over the last few months Jim has been absolutely crushing it for us by making/cutting/shipping stickers, harvesting data for our soon to be released gear and resort guides, learning how to post press releases so he doesn't have to listen to Schmuck bitch about how many there are, and perhaps most importantly...drinking and snusing up a storm at the office before heading out to the bars to scream at anyone who's playing against his beloved Montreal Canadiens. So yeah...he fits right in. Thanks for everything over the last few months Jim. We couldn't have done it without you!

About: Holte is an extremely deserving member of the month after his incredibly generous actions in the Alpine Initiatives auction. After NS teamed up with Alpine Initiatives to put on a silent auction (for a prize pack of goodies courtesy of JP) to help raise donations for the project, we only received $500 in the first two weeks so we spoke with Holte (who had made the highest donation at that point) about the idea of announcing his bid and making the auction public in an effort to raise more. Not only did Holte wholeheartedly agree, but he went even further in his generosity by raising his bid from $200 to $500. Needless to say, Holte not only won the skis and member of the month...but the respect and admiration of us all. Thanks Holte. You're the man!

About: Malcolm, along with a handful of others (including our friends Matt & Jim) has been helping us out in the post-war state that the NS office is in after IF3. We're currently in the midst of finalizing two fairly colossal projects, a gear guide and resort guide, and it's without a doubt that we couldn't have done it without Malcolm. He's been tirelessly compiling data from various ski websites into a spreadsheet with a smile on his face and without a word of complaint, and we appreciate it. Thanks for all your hard work Malcolm!

About: Dave has been working cute lil ass off for the past few months on NS Movie Volume 1: First!!!, and he's been doing a hell of a job. He came up the idea for the project on his own, pitched it to us, and he's been full steam ahead ever since. In addition to all of his hard work for us, Dave is also a hard-working rep for Moment skis, one of the most exciting new ski companies on the market. He's been spending some time in the NS office since movie back to Montreal editing the film and it's been great to have him around. Cheers Dave!

About: Rowen is a perfect shining example of what makes an NS Member of the month. In his own words. "I'm not the greatest photographer on this site, nor the best skier (check my pictures for proof of both), but hey, you dont need either to enjoy the sport or the site. For me, its all about giving back to the community - I have my fair of shouting matches but I try to put good information out there once and a while. If you dont bicker and post intelligently and creatively, you'll get my respect. Skiing is an upstart sport that still has a lot to prove, and it needs a community that cares about all its members and breathes on the imagination and creativity it fosters."

About: Cedric Tremblay-Fournier known as "quebecfreestyler" on Newschoolers is the most intense person you can ever meet. This guy has an opinion on everything, can do anything and doesn't give up easily. A proof : Cedric did a bachelor in teaching but at the same time he was ripping the slopes with his skis. Plus, he did manage to coach young kids, compete all around the Quebec and find enough time to moderate on NS. And he's probably the dude who uploaded the largest amount of good quality content out there... So, I wonder how a human can do all that at the same time? But wait, maybe Cedric is not human.

About: Matt is almost the perfect model of what a NS user can be. The guy has a good attitude, has a good vision of what freestyle skiing is and his user profile is filled with pretty dope stuff. Plus, he is super dedicated to his sport in the "real world". Recently, he went to special events like Jib Academy, he competed (had good results) and did some filming. Even if his name get bigger, he stays cool with it and he still tries his best to promote his friends underground and innovative projects. So, the guy does work hard. But at the same time he does the right things to stay real and still have fun. One last thing but not the least : Matt is all against the hate.

About: Josh Anderson braved the danger and insanity of hanging out with us at SIA and helped us out huge in the process by taking all of the product shots. As we cruised around the show on our scooters Josh (when we didn't give him a ride) walked along side us, dealing with our endless hangovers, yelling and schmoozing (sorry Josh, we'll be sure to get you your own next year). On top of all that, Josh is one of the most promising up-and-coming photographers in the industry (check out his site at www.japhotog.com...PLUG!) and a balls-to-walls shredder that could give some of the pros a run for their money in the big mountain. We love you Josh!

About: Jason is plain and simply the man. He has been working for NS for the past few months as our intern and has become an essential part of the day-to-day running of the site. From posting press releases to constantly updating the event calendar to providing valuable feedback and ideas for the future of NS, Jason has prevented all of us from pulling our hair out in clumps and been a joy to have around. Sadly for us and sweetly for him, Jason is off to Rossland, BC to shred Red Mountain for the winter where he'll continue his duties while keeping us informed on what's going down at one of the sickest mountains in Canada.

About: Mike Rogge has joined the NS team as a staff writer and has been killing it for us lately with interesting and in-depth interviews and stories. He'll be spending the winter holding it down for us on the east coast, covering every event he can get to in his beat-up and weathered Jeep Grand Cherokee. Mike is a true blue class-act guy and if you see him out on the road this winter, be sure to buy him a beer and ask him about his sweet house...it's the coolest place in the world.

About: Josh goes out of his way to do ton for the sport and a ton for this site. He owns and runs Jibij, one of the downright coolest ski shops in the world, and provides us with excellent and fun content that chronicles the adventures of his wild and wacky team. About: The man, the myth, the Legend. Mr. Paul Stanisci was the guy who stepped in to make this site work when Harvey left, and he's been the brains behind it ever since. Turning down massively high-paying government coding work, Paul has been the glue holding NS together and the only reason that the site has survived its growth. Right now, he is working with an eliete team of coding ninjas to bring you the next incarnation of Newschoolers, which will be so good you might poo yourself. About: If you're from Colorado and have had a photo in a Newschoolers news article, there's a good chance it was taken by Julie. When she's not skiing powder, she's our top correspondent in the Rockies and has been a major contributor to NS for years. Thanks for all the hard work Julie!

About: Jay is one of NS's old guard, he's been around almost since day one and has always been a positive influence on the site. Plus his little sister is really funny, and his dad is generous with his beer. Thanks for the good times buddy!

About: Online and off, Papasteeze is one of the most pro-active parents out there. Pushing freeskiing on a local level and helping develop the more 'mature' population of the site, all in the name of the sport his kids love. That's good parenting.
