Overall I love these skis so much I'm getting another pair. I really like lively skis and these certainly deliver. They rip in the pow, carve superbly on groomed, and give enough stability for jumps & rails (although I'm not very good). A++ Performance These skis are very lively! They certainly ski like they were built by a company with 50 years of racing experience. They are very light and easy to maneuver. There is enough of a side cut to get into really deep carves, but the will also shred in powder. Not only are they extremely light, but also very flexible and springy. You can easily bend the ski into a tight arc and it will instantly snap back. Pressing on the tips or tails is just sooo fun on these. Design Very light, very flexible and easy to maneuver. The construction is excellent. The grahpics could use some work. They remind me of an old pair of Salomon skis I had from the 70s. They were Solid blue with white writing. Although the design it's really eye catching, it still looks clean and elegant.

Overall Overall I'm super pleased. If you are in need of a jacket for the winter and are on a budget, give this one a look or visit obermeyer.com. Performance This is an excellent jacket, it's comfortable and has some great features. The pockets are plentiful and big. There is plenty of room for the iPod, phone, etc.. There is a goggle pocket in the back (which you can see on the right in the picture of the jacket's back). This being my first Obermeyer jacket, I was surprised to discover that the liner is attached to the shell inside out. Meaning the outside of the liner when you wear it alone, faces in when attached to the shell. This makes the inside very comfortable since there are no seams, and the liner pockets are easily available! Value At around 300$, this jacket is an excellent choice. There are many competitors in this price range, but this one is definetely worth a look. Fit I ordered a Large, which fits my average build pretty well. The hood is well sized and fits well over a tuque & goggles without restricting my movement or obstructing my view. Since this is the component jacket, it comes with a removable liner which also fits pretty well. However I wish the bottom of the liner had an elastic drawstring, wearing it alone when it's windy is kind of drafty. But it would be fantastic on a warm spring day. Durability This has become my regular jacket, both on and off the slopes. I've had no ripped pockets, broken zippers or faulty drawstrings. It seems this jacket will last for years to come. My brother is already asking for a hand-me-down. ;)

Overall An excellent choice for anybody in need of new boots. Although these boots aren't as adjustable as some competitors, they are comfortable and do their job well. Design The boot has a full-length shock absorbing sole to cushion big landings. This is obviously a must for anybody skiing the park these days. These boots are very comfortable! The liner, flexible casing, and shock absorbing shell make for a comfortable fit. The second lowest buckle near the ankle can be moved to help keep your heal in place if your weight gets thrown forward. The buckles can be fined tuned by twisting the clip clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the clip length by a millimeter at a time. The overall boot weight is pretty low, making walking & skiing easier and more enjoyable. The heal piece can be changed if it wears out so as not to slip on cement walkways. Characteristics The boot casing is medium-soft, which provides excellent flexibility and movement. The boot has a carbonlink in the back which connects the bottom of the boot casing with the top. The idea behind this is to reinforce the top of the boot casing, without anchoring it to the base, allowing for good flexibility without sacrificing control. The boot also has an adjustable Canting lock, which allows you to adjust the boot's natural stance. Durability The plastic, liner and buckles all seem to be well made. The buckles are all titanium to cut down on weight while maintaining strength. Obviously it's hard to judge durability so early into the season, but I have no complains so far and hope believe these boots with hold up for many seasons.

Overall This is honestly a jacket I would recomment to anybody looking for a good quality ski jacket.  It's warm and feels durable, and you can expect it to last a long time.   The only reason this jacket gets a 9 instead of a 10 is the MSRP of 450$ and the limited colour options.  Of course, in a shop you would likely not pay full MSRP, but some different colours or patterns wouldn't hurt. Performance The 20,000mm fabric along with the sealed seams and waterproof zippers make this jacket very warm.  It cuts down on cool winds to your core, even here in the East on -25C (-13F) days. It also has a snow skirt on the inside (which is removable), to further cut down on cool winds to your upper body.  On warmer days you can open the underarm vents to cool you down if needed. The vents are protected with mesh so you won't get snow flying down your jacket. Design The colour choices are a little slim, and there are no patterns available, only 3 solid colours. I got the Slate colour which I happen to like, but none of the available colours are ikely to stand out. http://www.obermeyer.com/catalog/men/jackets-shells-vests/raven-jacket.html Value At an MSRP of 450$, it is on the pricier side, but this is a technical jacket with great features and excellent construction.  The fabric feels thick and rugged, every zipper is covered or sealed, the hood is fully adjustable and removable.  The quality is apparent and I think justifies the price. Fit I have the Raven jacket in a Medium, which is my typical size for most clothing and it fits perfectly.  The sleves were the perfect length and the jacket was snug but not too tight as to feel restrictive.  If you like your cloths really baggy, you may want to get a a size or two bigger than your actual size.  But if you want a nice fitting jacket, you can probably expect your typical size to fit nicely. Durability Although the overall construction is excellent, I did have one small issue with some of the velcro.  One side of the bottom velcro strip on the zipper cover came loose soon after getting the jacket.  It seems the stitching on one half of the velcro wasn't secure or the thread was weak.  It was somethign I fixed myself in 5 minutes, and since then haven't had any other issues.  All the zippers open and close nicely without getting caught, and the stitching on the fabric all seems very tight unlikely to break like the velcro.

Overall Overall the Originals are a pimp looking pair of shades. They are light and comfortable, and the price is right. Performance The lenses have UV protection, but are not polarized. To be expected from glasses in this price range.  Design With a tasteful throwback to a classic frame, and the mirror finish of the lenses, these glasses look pimp and certainly stand out. Value An MSRP of 39$ gets you the glasses, carying case and a neck strap. Fit I typically wear glasses with a "medium" fit, and these fit me very well. The arms were just tight enough against the side of my head that the glasses felt snug, but not too tight to cause discomfort.  The plastic is night and light which made them comfortable to wear, and the nose bridge felt more comfortable than glasses I have which cost twice as much. Durability Unfortunately my pair came broken upon arrival.  The base of the hinge was cracked in two and is now loose. Unfortunately I'm not sure how much longer the arm will stay attached.  This was likely an issolated issue.

Overall I ski on the east coast, so I was looking for a really warm jacket I can use during our really cold days.  I chose the Madplaid from North Face, and I'm glad I did. The jacket is a two piece, so the inner liner and shell can be separated and worn individually.  Furthermore, the inner liner is reversible and can be worn in two styles. One thing I noticed right away was that the zipper of the liner didn't attach to the shell like they do on some other jackets, requiring the liner and shell to be zipped up separatly.  At first I thought it would be annoying, but this actually had a few nice benefits.  First of all, two sets of zippers and flaps really help to keep the heat in and the wind out.  Second of all, it's possible to get to the goggle and MP3 player pockets on the shell without exposing your core. From a technical standpoint this jacket is excellent.  There are plenty of pockets inside and out, and the quality is exceptional.  Combine the double zipper with the lack of underarm vents, and you have a jacket that really keeps the wind out on cold days.  Style wise I think the jacket looks pretty darn good.  I do wish however that the reversible liner had a more different pattern on one side.  Both sides are just flat black, the only difference being the stiching and pocket placement. Overall an excellent jacket, I highly recommend it.

Overall Bright colours and edgy styling make this jacket stand out.  It was designed with style in mind, and to let everybody know that you are an NSer. The inner fabric is silky smooth and gives the jacket a luxurious feel.  The shell is made 15000mm waterproof polyester to keep you cozy an dry. The quality of the fabric and stiching is excellent, there are plenty of pockets  and a dedicated one for your favourite music player.  However I do wish there was a large goggle pocket on the inside. The lining is plenty warm, however you may want an extra layer on really cold east coast days.  The sleeves are complete removable to allow you to wear this jacket in spring as a vest.  Since the arms remove completely, there is no snow mesh if you want to open the underarm zippers for ventilation. Overall, it's an excellent garmet for skiing in style!

Usually when reviewing a product you find something about it you don't like, styling, fit, quality, something!  But honestly, these pants are exceptional and deserve a perfect 10.0.  I'll tell you why. They have all the standard features; inner leg vents with snow mesh, zip waist pockets, water protected cargo pockets, gripper elastic lined gaters, several ski pass holders, etc... There are a few nice touches as well.  The cargo pockets are angled slightly forward so you can easily get to their contents on the lift and nothing will fall out.   And the bottom of both legs are reinforced with webbing to prevent tearing the bottom of the pants. Combine all this with the quality material and a lifetime warranty, and I think you have the perfect ski pant.

It has underarm vents with snow mesh, inner zipper pocket with headphone hole, and a beautifully finished inside.  It can also be paired with an Eira liner for use in colder weather. My only negative comment really is that I wish it had a goggle pocket on the inside.  Overall an excellent jacket!

Overall The Giro Chapter is a comfortable, lightweight and customizable.  It's wonderfully shaped and includes an easy to use knob for changing the fit, shown below: Out of the box it fit really well, and after a little tunning it's probably one of the most comfortable helmets I've worn. I got the royal blue model, but there are several color options available.   This helmets supports Giro's Tune-UPs system so you can put headphones into the hear flaps.  There is also a closable vent at the top of the helmet so you can cool your head if you are getting too warm. I think the only problem I had was that the very top of the ear flaps weren't tight against my head, and when skiing on the east coast with -30C weather, that tiny little gap lets in some cold air.  A thin layer below the helmet helps alot if you are having this problem. Overall an excellent helmet.

Value It's well worth the price.  I am very happy with the overall quality. Fit The fit was dead on, using O'Neill's sizing chart.  At 5'8", this is the first woman's jacket I've had that has been long enough in the arms, without being too baggy in the body. Durability It's very well constructed.  The material is tough and the seams are very strong.
