The Volkl Kiku skis are not for the beginner. This aggressive ladies ski is stiff, responsive, and will change if pointed down the hill. They are responsive in powder (which they are built for) but uphold and set a decent edge on groomed trails. they have a durable, stuff base, but still provided a "bounce" underfoot. I have mine mounted 1 back and can not be any more pleased with these skis.
