Ashley Battersby gets busy...

We don't usually do bulk news like this but here's a conglomeration of press releases regarding Ashley's commitment to ride for D-Structure, Helly Hansen, and Line for the 2005-2006 season.

Ashley Battersby joins the D-Team.

Montreal, July 7th 2004 â?? D-Structure International is proud to welcome Ashley Battersby to the D-Structure pro team. At only 17, the Park City local has rapidly established herself as one of the dominant figures in womenâ??s park skiing.

In the two years Ashley Battersby has been competing, she has stepped on many podiums, including her first place at this yearâ??s Vermont Freeskiing Open slopestyle and rail Jam, as well as her third place at the US Freeskiing Open slopestyle. She was also nominated for Best Female Performance at the Powder Magazineâ??s 2005 Video Awards. Her early achievements have blossomed her simple passion for skiing into an evolving career as a sponsored athlete and a dedication to get more girls involved in the sport of freeskiing.

â??I am stoked to be a part of the D-Structure Team and to help it grow in the ski and skate industries! I really wanted to join the team in order to represent a company that is very supportive of the two major sports I love: skiing and rolling. D-Structure opened in 1999 in Montreal as the first ski shop to cater exclusively to the newschool market. In 2003, with the implication of pro-skier Phil Belanger, a second shop opened its doors in Qu�©bec City. Since then the most influential skiers have joined D-Structure as owners and team riders to transition the little shop into an international business venture.

â??I am stoked to be skiing for Line. They have let me express myself by putting the graphics I help design on the skis that I use everyday, and the guys there are dopeâ?? she said. The skis she worked on 2 years ago â??The Celebrityâ?? and â??The Shadowâ?? are hitting the retail shelves this fall. Ashleyâ??s main goal is to bring attention to womenâ??s freeriding and to be out in front of the style curve.

Park City, UTAH, July, 10 2005 - Park City Mountain All-Star Ashley Battersby (17) Signs Onto Helly Hansen International Ski Team.

â??I am really looking forward to working with Helly Hansen. By skiing for Helly I will be competing in the biggest events in freeride and spending a lot of time traveling and filming. I really like their approach on getting riders to participate in their designs and their world wide presence. I think we will be a great team for some time to come.â?? She said. With Helly Hansen backing Ashley you are sure to see much more of Ashley this coming season. Ashley has had a great 2005 season despite skiing most of the year with a broken hand. The break didnâ??t stop her from placing in some of the top events of the year.
