Plehouse Films fire-up the production of White Shine

Montreal, December 9 2004 - The award-winning team at Plehouse Films today announced the production of White Shine, the eagerly-anticipated sequel to Red Tape, Plehouse's critically-acclaimed second production. The 16mm film will document the winter of the D-Structure team members as they explore the planet in search of the best alpine and urban destinations.

For it's third film, Plehouse has accepted its most important assignment to date: follow the 20 skiers part of the D-Structure professional and amateur teams as they travel the globe. The Plehouse film crews will shoot thousands of feet of film documenting these elite athletes as they perpetually push the limits of skiing in the backcountry, in terrain parks and in unusual urban settings.

Over the years, rider owned and operated D-Structure Shops have united a professional team composed of some of the most progressive skiers of the decade. These are the skiers on witch White Shine will pull the focus: Phil Belanger, Pep Fujas, Phil Poirier, Iannick B, Phil Larose, Dave Crichton, Chris Turpin, JP Auclair, Thomas Rinfret, Charles Gagnier, TJ Schiller, Josh Bibby and Phil Dion. The film will also shed the light on the D-Structure amateur team, a crew composed of some of the most promising up and comers. Finally, White Shine will also feature special guests Sarah Burke, Marie Martinod and Mickael Deschenaux.

Plehouse Films is the brainchild of professional skiers Phil Belanger, Phil Larose and Thomas Rinfret. D-Structure opened in 1999 in Montreal as the first ski shop to cater exclusively to the newschool market. In 2003, with the implication of pro-skier Phil Belanger, a second shop opened its doors in Quebec City. Since then the most influential skiers have joined D-Structure as owners and team riders to transition the little shop into an international business venture.
