Last month, we teamed up with our good friends at Momentum to launch the Newschoolers' Next Top Filmer contest, where you could enter for your chance to win a free session to Momentum's brand new film and photo camp, Exposure.

Exposure will take place from July 6th - July 14th during Momentum, and is catered to those of you behind the lens. During the camp, Poor Boyz Productions' Johnny Decesare, Voleurz' Darren Rayner and professional photographer Blake Jorgenson will be on hand to teach the ins and outs of videography and photography, all while Exposure campers get to ski and shoot in one of the greatest places in the world, Whistler.

To enter for your chance to win a free session at Exposure, we asked any and all filmers to submit a story line-based edit no longer than five minutes, which would be judged based on creativity and the quality of the filming and editing, as opposed to the action that takes place during it.

After 33 entries were submitted, we asked you, the Newschoolers community, to narrow it down to the top 5, which would then be judged by Poor Boyz Productions' Johnny Decesare, Voleurz' Darren Rayner and members of the Momentum and Newschoolers staff. So before we announce the winner, here's a look at the top 5 entries that were chosen by you...

A Spring Second With Colin Becker by Chase Martin

Get Creative by Nicolas Guy-Caron

Snoqualmie 2011-2012 by Abe Krieger

Westward Episode 4 by Geoff Hewat

2011-2012 Season Edit by Antoine Proulx

And now, without further ado, here's a look at the winner of the Newschoolers' Next Top Filmer contest, as decided by Poor Boyz Productions' Johnny Decesare, Voleurz' Darren Rayner and members of the Momentum and Newschoolers staff...

Congratulations to Nicolas Guy-Caron! You've won a free session to Momentum's Exposure Camp!
