Amplid.com 2011/12 is Alive!

For months the Amplid Research Cartel has been held-up in Amplid’s laboratories bashing buttons, throwing levers and busying itself with creating the ultimate website to showcase Amplid’s 2011/12 gear. Finally last night at 01:00 hours, after several attempts, a huge pulse of electric current was fed into the Amplid supercomputer and the site coughed and spluttered into action – next level browsing is alive!

For the coming season we’ve made tons of tweaks to Amplid.com, so checking the blog to see what your favorite rider is up to or flicking through our products pages to find your perfect ride is a breeze. Also Amplid.com is now completely Flash free, meaning browsing the site on iPads and smart phones has never been easier or quicker. In the run-up to and during the season the Amplid blog will be updated daily with team news, exclusive interviews, music and art from Amplid’s extended Cartel family and mind-blowing videos of next level riding.

This year we’ve added two skis to our formidable line-up. For budget minded park rats who are tired of smashing their shred sticks to pieces during afternoon handrail sessions and who don’t like having to switch-up skis when there’s a foot of fresh snow on the hill, we’ve created The Provoke. Using our less environmentally impactful and incredibly durable WDT core and an early-rise Camrock profile means progressive park riding and fluid backcountry pillow lines are all possible on The Provoke. To those riders who like to be equipped for those powder days when leaving your house through the front door involves tunneling, we introduce our fattest ski ever, the Lexington. With 130mm of width at the waist and our surfy Camrock profile you’d need to be built like Hulk Hogan and have “Stone Cold” Steve Austin sat on your shoulders to sink these bad boys.

The big news from Amplid HQ this month is that Amplid skis killed the 2011/12 Freeskier.com ski test, taking home three prestigious Editors Pick awards.
