Teton Gravity Research appoints Backbone Media as agency of record

(Teton Village, Wyo.) - Premier multimedia action sports brand Teton Gravity Research (TGR) has appointed Backbone Media to manage its public relations. Backbone will handle media communications for all of TGR's business ventures including feature films, worldwide film tours, television programming, production services, branded apparel, and online media.

"We are super stoked to be working with Backbone," comments Steve Jones, TGR Co-Founder. "They understand our audience and they'll provide extra muscle as TGR continues to evolve and grow."

TGR was founded in 1996 by four friends who were passionate about the mountains and ocean. The vision was to put out products that came from the athletes' perspective, and that were more representative of the youth and progressions taking place in action sports. Today, TGR is one of the fastest growing brands in the action sports industry, producing progressive, cutting edge content and apparel. Working with the top athletes in their respective disciplines, TGR's productions, athletes, and events are seen worldwide through a broad spectrum of media including home entertainment, cable and broadcast television, online, film tours, print, and live events.

"TGR has what everybody wants," explains Backbone partner Penn Newhard. "They hold an enviable position in the action sports world with a massive library of unique content, a large and actively engaged community, and a network of the world's best athletes. They are poised for success and we are incredibly excited to work alongside them."

About Teton Gravity Research
TGR has produced 28 award winning feature length films, numerous television series for Showtime, NBC, Fox Sports, and Fuel TV, and is known for its cutting edge media and lifestyles clothing line. TGR is a proud member of 1% For The Planet and strongly believes in protecting the environment in which the team works and plays. For more information on TGR visit tetongravity.com, one of the leading online destinations and communities in the action sports industry.
