Josh Chauvet Named New Action Sports Brand Manager for Mammoth Mountain

Mammoth Mountain, CA – Mammoth Mountain has appointed Josh Chauvet as the new Action Sports Brand Manager. Chauvet will oversee Mammoth’s world-famous Unbound Terrain Parks, actions sports events and targeted marketing programs.

"I am very excited to be back at Mammoth working with the best team in the industry,” said Chauvet. “Over the years I have had the opportunity to travel the world and gain a great deal of experience. My experience, combined with the unprecedented support of Mammoth, will allow for industry changing improvements and innovation. Mammoth has always been my true home and I am proud to be returning."

Chauvet returns to Mammoth after an eight year departure, having previously worked at the California resort from 1998 to 2002 as the Director of the Youth Action Sports and Unbound Terrain Parks. While at Mammoth, Chauvet helped establish Mammoth as one of the premier snowboard resorts in the world.

Chauvet’s more recent experience includes positions as Operations and Brand Manager for Snow Park Technologies and Booth Creek Resorts, Marketing Manager at Nikita Clothing and most recently Action Sports Manager at Mountain High Resort.

“It will be great to have Josh back at Mammoth. I consider him one of the leaders in terrain park building and design and he has valuable experience in actions sports marketing,” said Mark Clausen, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Mammoth Mountain. “With Josh leading the charge, Mammoth will continue to innovate and progress as one of the top parks in the world.”

Chauvet’s experience includes designing, building and managing terrain parks around the world including Livigno, Italy; Snow Park, New Zealand; Aspen, CO; Northstar-at-Tahoe, CA; Sierra-at-Tahoe, CA; Mountain High, CA; and Kijimadaira, Japan. Chauvet has also designed and built competition courses for over 25 world-class events including the ESPN Winter X-Games, the Burton U.S. Open and the Burton European Open.

The Mammoth Mountain Unbound Terrain Parks lead the industry in innovation and quality with seven parks, three pipes, 80+ jibs and 50+ jumps on over 90 acres of California’s favorite mountain resort. Using state-of-the-art equipment to provide a progressive environment for all levels, from beginners to a team of 20 professional athletes, the Unbound earns consistent ratings among the top parks of the world.
