Some more unfortunate news here from Laax, Switzerland on the last day of the fifth annual European Open.

Following yesterday's cancelation of men's and women's slopestyle finals, today's men's and women's superpipe finals were canceled as well, due to little to no visibility and cyclone-style winds, as Jen Hudak shows off below...

Jen Hudak. The wind was just a blowin!

The guys did train for a short period of time amidst the blizzard, and the first two skiers in contention took their first run, but after the second rider got injured after falling prey to the high winds, the decision was made to call the whole thing off.

Needless to say, everyone is pretty bummed, but kudos to the organizers for putting the athletes' safety first, and as a good faith gesture, splitting up the intended prize money amongst the competitors.

A good number of the skiers here in Laax will now make their way to Tignes, France for the inaugural European X Games, which begins on Tuesday and we'll be bringing you daily coverage on. So be sure to stay tuned.
