Evolve Freestyle Academy Announces 2009-10 Ski and Snowboard Academy

TORONTO – Evolve Freestyle Academy will kick off their inaugural camp season one hour north of Toronto at Mt. St. Louis Moonstone Ski Resort, January 9, 2010.

Local shredders are invited to train and progress with Ontario’s top ski and snowboard coaches together in a fun and friendly atmosphere, mastering everything from fundamental basics to the most technical tricks on snow.

Each of the 8 sessions is open to intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders ages 8-17 years old every Saturday and Sunday between January 9 and February 28, 2010. A March break camp will be announced mid winter.

Campers are grouped into two programs by age and ability – Shredders (12-17 year-old intermediate and advanced) and Mini Shredders (8-11 year-old intermediate). Shredder packages are $999 and Mini Shredder packages are $949.

Shredders will spend mornings on the mountain with coaches learning their favorite tricks, new techniques and afternoons freeriding under supervision to practice what they’ve learned. Mini Shredders are supervised all day, working with coaches and staff exploring all aspects of freeriding while building a foundation of life-long fundamentals for any kind of riding. All campers will get video and photography for coach and rider analysis.

Each camp package includes motor coach transportation to and from Mt. St. Louis Moonstone Ski Resort every Saturday and Sunday. Evolve Freestyle Academy also guarantees a ratio of one Freestyle and CSIA-certified coach to every seven campers. Campers will also receive sticker packs, have access to Ontario-area competitions and be automatically entered to win tons of sponsor prizes. Meals will be mid-day at the Mt. St. Louis Ski Resort cafeteria. Campers are encouraged to pack meals from home, but may also purchase meals onsite.
