Private Media Session Scheduled at Carinthia, Mount Snow

WEST DOVER, Vermont - Mount Snow will open its largest terrain park to invite-only photographers and video teams on Feb. 25 and 26, 2009 for a private terrain park session with top riders and skiers. The two-day event is called Video Park, and it is designed with the camera lens in mind.

Crews and their riders or skiers will have private access to Inferno, the terrain park featured on national television during the Winter Dew Tour, Jan. 8 – 11, 2009. The Carinthia Park Crew will give Inferno extra attention in the days leading up to Video Park, installing visually stimulating features and preparing the park for the camera.

“It’s our way of saying thanks to the film crews and photographers who have given us press over the years. But more importantly we want to introduce them to the new and improved Carinthia terrain park system,” said Luke Stafford, Mount Snow’s communications manager.

When it opened for the 2008-09 season, Mount Snow transformed its Carinthia mountain face entirely to freestyle terrain. “We want people to know that Carinthia is the real deal when it comes to East Coast terrain parks,” said parks and pipes manager Ken Gaitor, who is eager to showcase his work.

Video Park is the brainchild of Kevin “The Park and Pipe Guru” Corcoran. The event started as a nighttime session at Crotched Mountain, N.H. a few years ago before gaining its reputation as an “east coast media summit.”
